TY-STIK'S GROW ROOM

This is for DUDE, sorry for the delay my friend.

The first photo shows the 10" intake with three 6" flex connected to 6 hoods (in pairs). The 10" is the vertical duct at the back/center of the photo.

2nd photo shows the 10 exhaust flex duct running from the inline to the 10" rigid exhaust duct (not visible)

3rd photo is an over all shot, and if you look closely there is in the background, just above the ballast a 30 inch (1/4HP) pedestal fan.

The set up consists of Three pairs of 600 Watt Super Sun II 6" hoods. Room temperature is 78F average, a 400 Watt dehumidifier maintains 55-60% in Veg and 35-42% in flower.

Controllers allow maintenance of temps/humidity year round, and control CO2 along with a 12,500 btu AC unit in spring and summer.

Odor control by way of a "Carbon 3" filter with an 8" Elicient Pulling through it.

Fresh air intakes consist of 2 6" Vortex inlines, run by the above noted controllers.

The Girls are Top-44, T44xWW, California Orange Bud and Hindu Kush at 17 days into flower, SCROG.

The grow power panel provides 4 each 20amp and one each 15 amp, will post a photo shortly.

Control the environment, start with the best seeds, select mothers and take your cuttings for consistent grows.

Notice that the 6" flex ducts have no support as the individual lengths are precise cut to allow for the range of motion required without excess duct hanging uselessly.

pretty tight room ty-stick.......I love your exhaust system.

is this on the ground floor of your dwelling? from the pic of your exhaust on the floor, it looks as though you are exhausting into the sewer system?

No-----the exhaust is 7' above ground. The home is a multi-story split level.

TY for the compliments.

your room is tight i've been looking back and reading over your setup. is the a/c the window type? are you exhausting fan air through the floor or pulling air through it? from where? i used to exhaust a room a/c through floor until i went under my house a few months later and it smelled like dank.

Hey DAWG, the AC is a Spring/Summer use appliance, window mount model installed "through wall".

Go back to the photos in my post and on the right side at floor level is the 10 inch inline fan pulling and discharging air. It connects to a rigid 10 inch return air duct and note that there are 3 six inch flex ducts attached to it and connected to 3 pairs of 6 inch Super Sun II hood/reflectors.

Also note to the left in the photos is a 10 inch rigid fresh air duct. This duct supplies 3 pairs of 600W hood/reflectors by way of 3 six inch flex ducts.

There is a 200 micron filter screen at floor level that prevents BUGS from getting into the room.

Temperature setting at present is 78F. At 81F the controller turns on the 10 inch Elicient Inline, this draws air through 3 pairs of Super Sun II Hood/Reflectors that are connected to the 10 inch fresh air duct. (note the 6" flex ducting).

Regarding the AC, it exhausts to the outside, not under the home.

The 10 inch Elicient located at floor level, discharges under the house. Remember though that my home, 2/3 rds of it at least. is an average 7 feet above grade and you can walk under it without bending over, with the remaining floor area on grade. Looking at the home from the front and one side it appears to be a single story residence instead of a 2 story. From the backyard it is 3 stories high from the ground to the roof, again you are able to walk under it and therefore no problems result from stagnant humid air giving the excellent breezes that pass through that area.

how much do you normally yield from that system?

Will have to let you know when this grow is finished. I just changed lighting from 3 x 1000w to 6 x 600w. It does appear from the quicker bud development that this will grow will yield higher. Quality over Quantity any day !

The basic temps in the room are more easily managed. I picked up on the 600's from this fellow PICO. I studied his works, applied the knowledge he imparted to each of us and went from there.

Veritas................It is much easier with the 600's, more forgiving. Right now the max temps are 79F. I can reduce it to 65F.

Hey Ty, I meant generally speaking with the 1000's was it actually hotter? I'll probably be selling off all these lamps (I have 4x 1K's, but only enough room for 2 in use). Then switching over to 600's. I really like my 1000's ive been hitting high numbers since I started..but I think if it's much more beneficial to the shape of my room and my temps it would be worth it. Plus my equipment looks impeccable and I have 4 years on em. I'd like to upgrade to better hoods, and digital ballasts.. Where I'm at technology can help me stay on top. Guess you did sorta answer my question..

I don't like Pico, he doesn't update enough. (/sarcasm :D) Hope you're doing alright little homie.

20% more heat with the 6 x 600W however my older 1000W hoods were 4 inch ducted. The temps are easier to control with the 6 inch ducted hoods. Super Sun II's, spendy but righteous.
