Here some pics from tonight. Still having issues with what I feel is too much nitrogen as they were really yellow but are starting to improve a little bit. Please let me know if you can help me out as end of month should be about harvest time. Not sure about the runt as it may need more time. The PH was high a few times around 8/9. But now it’s been in the 5/7 range. I tried adding GH LKB, hopefully the plants are telling me they need mag and potassium. So I added 20ml to a gal. and fed the girls yesterday. Here’s latest pics of grow.

I’ve tried everything lowering the ph to 5.0 from 6.5/7 as it was a bit high. I added 20ml of Blue Planet Bloom 0-5-4 to gal water this last couple feedings. Hoping the plants would get some needed mag and potassium. Not much greener still yellowish green. Well here are some pics. Not sure if I should harvest or wait a bit. Should be close to that time.

Ok this should be last week according to the 11-13 weeks they say for auto flower Girl Scout cookie. Can someone take a look at these buds and see if it looks like I should harvest or wait a week or more?

I’ve been flushing every two days this week to try and get some green back
in the leaves as I was for the prior 2/3 weeks using nutrients potassium and magnesium as the ph level was too high. And seemed like too much nitrogen in this Foxfarm soil as per advice. So I watered ph 5.0 as I was getting readings of over 7 on runoff. So three weeks ago I got it down to 5.5 and every other water add 20 ml per gal water of potassium and magnesium. This last 7-10 days I’ve flushed with 5.0 distilled water that’s it. So any advice I’m listening

I think my plants are telling me to shut it down tomorrow as it will be exactly 2-1-24 and my plants started on 11-6-23 so
they have had 1 1/2 months of 12/12 and then I heard people say 16/8 for auto flower plant so the remaining time the plant grew at 16/8 light schedule. Most days temps were in high 70’s and humidity right around 50%. I’m sure that because it’s winter here on east coast USA. we’ve had a mild winter and some days the tent was over 80° and 55% humidity but if I were to average out the whole grow I’d say 77°/55%. I flushed the plants today with 1 gal ea plant same as two days ago. I figured tomorrow turn off the light and let the plant sit in the dark for 48 hours before I pull and cut then hang for drying process. Once they are ready for curing I have some air tight glass containers with the humidity packs to help the buds keep proper humidity and so I can burn a couple times a day. If anyone has any suggestions I am listening. Thanks Tim

Well it’s that time, cut down plants tonight and they are hanging as I type. Well I let the plants go two days in the dark after flushing one last time. Another question for anyone who sees this post. Here are my numbers in the tent. I think if I can keep it at between 65/75° temps and 40/50% humidity the buds should be fine with no mold a or any other issues. What say all of you. Added pic of my devise mesuring temp and humidit.

I enjoyed watching your grow, ive never grew auto flowers yet, because some grows i do 12 on 12 off, its fun, but also you were growing in 3gallon pots, and now thats my go to pot, i grow just for me an mine! so only thing important to me is quality, almost every time i smoke someone elses smoke, which isnt that often, i get scratchy throat, even some dispensereis stuff too, I listen more than talk, id hate to give wrong advice, I like variety, light pots, and easy growing, and learning everyones way of doing it!
I might do me some outdoor auto flowers this year, so many seeds to get to, and i keep looking to get more, it dont make sense, lol ! gotta enjoy yourself!

I hear ya. Yeah pretty much in the same boat when it comes to this growing thing. Pretty much just me and a couple close friend. I just want to learn how to grow the best buds and I’m mainly a Indica man but I try anything for the taste. Prettt new to this tent thing so not sure about temp and humidity level in the tent to dry and not ruin the terps and flavors. Right now having a tough time getting it dialed in as to not dry too fast and not to be too humid to cause mold. My tent today is at 67.2° and 47.2 % humidit. I have the humidifier going outside the tent with the tent cracked open a bit. May have to move humidifier into the tent but If I stay near 50% it should be ok, No? I’m just worried temp may be too high I wanted to keep
around 60/50 or 60/45.

how do you dry your plants temp/humidity, and do you hang the whole plant or hang branches?

I hung the whole plant and took all dead leaves off but left the rest of the fan leaves as it’s only been 1day of hanging. I think tomorrow I might try trimming more leaves off to get more air flow although I have exhaust fan at top of tent and two small fans below the plants moving air around. I hate to screw up now after all this work.
thanks for listening

Yea your right about screwin up now, all that work, been there done that, when i dry, I take off only big fan leaves, hang the whole plant in the room they grew in, ventalations alot better. and I try to get as close to 60 degrees an 60% humidity for at least 10 days or longer, I never hit those numbers, lol maybe this time i can get closer, boss ladys says i can run my ac I've had waiting to be used, hope she remembers, lol. the last 3 drys I could only get 7 days, not cool enough, and the humidity was to low. Thats the way i do it now, tried just about every way, and I'm sticking to it.
good luck on the finish!

Thanks for giving me your dry methods. Yeah my last grow was Granddaddy Purp and I thought I had the numbers where I wanted it I dried it with a netting system which I wasn’t to happy with end results. If the buds would have had the nice strong smell like it did before finish I would have been happy. But it only took like 4/5 days and it seemed like it was too dry. But then I also cut everything off and just had the branches with the buds drying on the net. It was also dead of summer, bought a portable AC unit because it was so hot and i couldn’t get the temps right. So this being my second indoor grow I’m going to take the slow route and like you say just cut off the dead leaves and the bigger fan leaves. So keeping my fingers crossed this comes out to my liking. Thanks again for taking interest in my grow. Hopefully after maybe 20 successful grows I can help so newbies with little helpful tidbits that make all the difference in the world.

Well it’s been a 8/9 days so far for my 2 Girl Scout cookie autos hanging in the tent. here is a pic of my girls and my readings for temp and humidit. please let me know what you think. Is 65° / 55% ok numbers? Just looking to see what most of you all dry your plants at numbers wise? Vin Thanks , Tim

So when do you try and snap
branches to see if they are ready to come out of the tent to be jarred and cured? I trimmed the big fan leaves and left small leaves so hopefully don’t have too much trimming before putting in my glass jars.

ps: I tried snapping one of the smaller or thinner outside branches and they still had flex left in them or moisture as they weren’t close to snapping as of yet. Some say 2 weeks some say longer but would love advice as to others pass experience on time drying. Thanks☮️

I was wondering if I should trim more leaves off now that more have dried up and are easy to get at without messing with the buds or just wait until they’re ready for jar and curing. What do most of you all do at this time period? Hopefully someone will chime in. This is only my second grow so looking for some tips so I don’t mess up the plants.

Ok for drying you are looking at wanting to keep them at 60temp/60humid the whole time or as close to that as you can. I let mine go for at least 2 weeks like that. No hard and fast rule when they are done. Depends a bit on size and density. If you keep it in that range it will do great. I have taken to letting mine go a touch longer and then put then into jars. You don't need to burp then as the bud is ready to go.
Ideal ph range for this grow would be 5.7 to 6.2. Check this not at the runoff but your feed water. PH it before you feed to make sure it is correct. Always add ph buffers after all nutes have been added then check it to see if it needs adjusting.. Your plants looked VERY hungry the entire grow. You want them to be bright green, not yellow the whole time then back off at the end and let them fade out a bit. Check pH with every feed.
Have a sweet day. Peace, negative.

As far as trimming goes. Just wait till you are ready to jar them. That way you can trim up what you don't want and jar them at the same time. Handle less is good. You always knock tricomes off every time you handle them. I dont trim to tight. I leave on some small leaves to protect the buds a bit. A lot of people go way overboard trimming away good leaves. I grow GG4 clone only and the leaves are so covered with trich that I love to smoke the smaller ones so I leave them.
Have a sweet day. Peace, negative.
