well id post a pic or 2 of my barely street legal/offroad bikes...but it seems as was said that they dont belong.

however your highway scream machines cant touch me in my backwoods playground.

i roll a yz 125 frame w/ a 450 cc engine. (backwoods power on a small frame)

I also roll a (2006) kaw. klr 650 street and dirt again

and am rebuilding a "trans-alp" as we speak

I can also tear it up on modern trials MX (gas gas)

...but i dont scream down the highway...still sta on 1-2 or zero wheels

Nah man feel free to post them. When I said that earlier I was stoned and I thought the pics posted was one of those little pocket bikes. You know the little ones you ride with your knees in your face...get going like 45 mph?

You offroad guys have balls. I used to shit myself hucking my Kona off of jumps when I was a kid, let alone doing that at like 40 miles an hour.

ahh so much fun, at one point I owned 3 different bikes a ducati 916(heavily modified ~230bhp) and a couple of old honda cb900f's from the early 80's. I turned one of the CB900's into a drag bike, that thing was way too fast, I personally went down the track in 8.44 scary is about the only way to describe that.

I remember taking the 916 out just tooling around town, I was feathering it out of 3rd and the front end is coming up I look over and see a car...the front wheel is a bit higher...looked at the speedo real quick and realized I was passing a car on one wheel doing a bit over 110mph, 5 weeks later I was running some twisties around jerome AZ and the back tire shredded(bad tire) I laid the bike down going almost 90 in full leathers. I was road rash from my ankle to my back to the back of my head, but no broken bones...a VERY VERY sore ass but basically walked away. The bike on the other hand went into the other lane and was creamed by a MAC truck, it was completely totaled. two weeks after that a friend died when he lost control of his 929rr and skidded into oncoming traffic and was hit by a concrete truck. After that riding has never been the same.

Be safe, please...and ENJOY IT.

70s :joint:

Many years ago 70s I was running a large shop down south. One day a man came in and offered me 1000.00 if I could get his bike through the trap in a designated. Me at the time being a few years off of a factory ride and young dumb and full of well you know I said hell yes. I arrived at DeSoto on a early brisk Sunday morning and layed my eyes on the most ungodly contraption I think I had ever seen.

He goes on to tell me that it's a three speed and showed me where the button of love was (gotta love the juice man) and I got suited up. In the pit we go and I remember thinking to myself this is gonna be something to remember (man was I right) as he fired up this home made dragster.

Being the greedy little bastard I was at the time and seeing it had 2 bottles I hit the button right after launch uck me runnin 70's I have never in my freakin life of riding (37 years by the way) felt anything like this EVER. I shifted to second with and here came the shake the shake as we all know as a pre tank slapper and being in this situation many many times I kept it pegged and the button pushed and prayed for the best.

As I hit third I believe somewhere in the back of my mind I was looking for a soft place to crash:) but at this speed we all know you don't crash you explode so gas on button down we continue.

Now understand this, I have been racing since I was 3. I have drug my knee on the ground at 150+ all over this country for many years,I've rubbed elbows on dirt tracks at 135 with some of the best there ever was and I have even died on one of these things as well. My point, I don't get scared on 2 wheels or so I thought.

As I passed the trap with one eye open I remember saying a prayer and thanking the man for allowing me to live this day for I had come to see the light. For I was scared,I was scared shitless by the ungodly awesome power I had just strapped my ass to and held on for dear life. That sir is not a crotch rocket it is a missle.

When I got to the end the owner of the bike came running up all excited and cheering and back slapping saying that was the fastest and the quickest that bike had ever done,I turned and smiled and said

Thats probably the fastest it will ever run for I will never ride it again.

You got knobby balls 70's many props to ya if that is you.

Not surprised by the arrival of Italian exotica, better late than never

Before I bought my ZX I was toying with the idea of an older 916. Holding on til the last moments of the auction before making a final bid, only for the seller to close early :chin: Insurance would have been less than the 600, but unfortunatley it wasn't to be :smoker:

My old BSA.

She's a 441 Shooting Star (street-bike) that had Her front-end totalled in 1971, so I made a sweet lil' dual-sport outta Her.
She looks so much like a modern Jap thumper, that people assume it's an old Honda...that is, until They hear Her "one-lung" blowing gorgeous tones through the SuperTrap exaust.

Oh, She's not for sale. :woohoo:

She's not a crotchrocket, but I could do 750-800 miles in a day, or night. (and won't need help being pried off her) ;-)

I sold it last spring with 185000 miles because the luggage rack stress cracked (Again) welded it up and started thinking,, if the frame did that,, ouch.

Found a nice 1200 I like even better - AM/FM cass and cruise.

Cops are usually busy hassleing the Harleys and crotch rockets
