Years ago Twitter seemed more
useless than it actually is, though
I haven't really utilized it at all, in
fact I just now made my first posts
@choomseed when SPG bumped in
this thread and reminded me of it's
very existence. Eventually it might
become more vital to keeping close
to people, IMO Facebook is the most
vital social networking tool for getting
whatever it is out there, with Twitter
in second place, and Tumblr basically
a useless soapbox for the insane but
there's cool pictures if you sift through
all of the festering lumps of 'what the
fuck is this doing on my feed unfollowed'
Of course, Facebook is the fucking worst
thing ever and if I wasn't into ball python
breeding I would not have one at all period.
Instagram is absolutely awesome, Twitter
is meh but useful, but of course still nadda
on the smart phone; so I can't really partake!!

I love twitter. I get my news/sports, find out what's going on in my city, and network and share information with people that work in my field around the world. Not a day goes by where I don't learn something new from twitter.
But If someone is tweeting that they had subway for lunch, and they just gave their dog a suppository then I won't be following them for long.

Came here to say exactly that!
I'd rather have a friend calling/texting me with something interesting or not that happened to him. If my reaction to this friend would be "What the hell does this guy want from me?" or something like "LOL, why did he tell that to ME", than I shouldn't give a shit about him in the first place..
