twins from a single seed?

Hello TGE, nice to make your accuantance. I too have seen this trait, actually a great deal over the last year. I call these single hull twins "true twins" and the fused seed twins as "Siamese twins."

The first strain I found this trait in was Seeds of Compassion's Gorilla Biscuit(sensi star[turpentine pheno]x Stardawg IX).

I let both plants go full term and expected them to be the same sex. However, I got a beautiful female, and a very nice male. He was significantly smaller, and a bit leggy as he had to compete with his sister for light and food. At the request of the breeder, I let these two plants get their weird on. I The resulting seed has yet to be planted but I have high hopes for the offspring.......

So what do we call that offspring? F2? S1? F2/S1? It is single seed descent, but its also a filial generation... I labeled them F2/S1...

Ive also personaly seen true twins in Medi-Pawz(Monkey paw x Mediberry f2), Ultimate Blue Cherry(ultimate cherry og x DJ's BB) and Ultimate Cherry OG f2s(half of the seeds germ tested were true twins).
It sure is neat to see.

Any thoughts?

I had twins in a pack of auto sweet mango from greenhouse. They both made it to harvest day. The big one was like 60 grams and the runt was like 5!!!!!! It reminded me of the movie "Twins" with Arnold and danny DeVito.

I agree there appear to be two types of twins. I think you see the double plant twin the most. I finally ran into the fused/siamese twin type this past year. When the plants grew larger, you could see the 2nd plant was truly growing out off the first plant. Like two plants coming off one taproot.

The self-topping plants are kinda cool too, I recently started a bagseed and it self-topped after the first node. The self-topping plants seem to grow out normal for the most part.

My first set of twins from Med Man's OG x TD freebees I popped last month. I enquired around abour twins and was told that typically one twin will droff the other. As you can see from the pics the info I received appears to be on the money. Twins!!!!

there is twins in OG Kush x TD

something you may want to think about , these are twins

for most part they are very close to the same in human twins .. one may have great abilities or gifted in some way . why the other may not be ,...we don't know how they will be different or if they will be different , you could very well find a great phenol hidden in these twins ...now I agree plants have different abilities then humans .. but it makes me wonder .. we don't know what their gift will be yet . and think about this . it maybe a gift you can not see with your eyes , could be smell taste or something we have yet to under stand ....

I have 3 twins in the gorilla biscuit f2/s1 from 4wiseeyes earlier in the thread. 3 sets of 10 beans popped. Hoping for m/f in each pair. Im going to isolate them (each pair) and let them do their thing.
Hoping to see the twin gene become a bit more dominant in the next gen. Just a fun experiment...

Got twins from Bogglegum. One was the smallest seedling ive witnessed, like a speck of sprouted parsley (anyone thats grown parsley from seed) and out grew his brother into a huge beast of a male plant. Binned him:)))
