They are indeed square containers...but they are not that big. The pots are 5 1/2" square, and hold less than 1 gallon of soil.

Clear shots? I use a tripod and photography lighting. The camera is a simple point and shoot that retails for $200-$300 at best buy or circuit city. The trick is the tripod and the lighting, not the camera.

I researched photagraphy lighting online and discovered that they use lights that are close to 5000K, which is the close to what the compact fluro's at my local hydro shop are. I grabbed up a 125 CFL in the 5000K range, and it works great. It is nice soft light that makes for great photos. The light cost me almost $150 bucks, the camera cost me $300, and the tripod was $50. So it cost me almost $500 to take these pictures for ya'all. I hope you enjoy viewing the pictures as much as I enjoy taking them. :)

just awesoome,kokua

what kind of yields do u get per light with just those kord containers?
any tips for someone tryin this, or was it just done in a pinch?
seems yields may suffer and 2ltr soda bottle may be the better option....
what say ye?
thanks in advance for any and all help, your thread is very inspiring! keep up the great work
