Trying to replace tobacco, what else makes good blunt wraps?

I am on a quest of sorts. I want an alternative to tobacco for blunt wraps. I honestly hate joint papers, pipes get icky, and bongs are just for occasions IMO. I want blunts, but I don't need the tobacco. I don't want the nicotine. Nothing rolls like one though. The alternative paper types just don't work the same way. They don't melt when wet, and become brittle when dry. They don't work and seal the same way at all. What else can I make paper from? Tree fiber obviously is too smoky, and some other plant leaves may be toxic. I'd love some ideas though!

I know a way to smoke a bud through itself as if the bud was a joint. It's amazing, passing a bud around the room and smoking it like a joint. Best way to taste it besides vape, no paper. Very cool.

im not a big fan of joints either, weird paper taste, sometimes they dont burn evenly.

i love the taste and consistency of a blunt but yea i can also do without the tobaccoo.

i try and stick to original swishers and away from those chemical flavored blunt wraps.

ok you do realize that you have pretty much started to go down the road of practically not smoking out of anything at all

1. you dont like papers (of any kind?)

2 you want an alternative to tobacco/cigar type wraps/cigars (thats everything right there!!)

3. bongs are icky (oooooooooook, now that definitely knocks you out of the park)

well you didn't mention regular pipes (wood maybe glass?) so is that an option or do those get too "icky" as well?

i have em all, been burnin the new packaged dutchmasters, they come two ina resealable pack, dont wanna use my pipes of bongs until i get a better quality/grade of weed.

why the aversion, why the need/want for an alternative? since, to be honest, what else is there other than the banana leaf as ganja D stated?

the only alternative other than vape-ing i can see is to smoke from a pipe, just *keep* it from being icky. buy a few, they're cheap, and keep a jug of 99% iso alcohol around, easy to get. smoke out of one pipe, have one clean and ready, have a third soaking getting ready for cleanup.

everyone does it has "blunt papers", it looks like a pack of joint papers, but they're brown....so i guess its just like in between a wrap and j paper?

Ive seen videos of people rolling blunts using thinned out high quality hash. Youtube has a video from " the weed report" when the guy does it. Its messy and hella expensive tho id think but its about as pure as it gets.

I don't doubt Jack for a second, he Knows. But - Can anyone else confirm this?

How to smoke a bud like a joint.

Take a good sized bud, bigger and longer better. Pine cone shape works best, but I've done it with much smaller. The first time I saw this done was with a 4-5 g piece of Humboldtlocals OG kush. Take a thin nail and insert in the middle of the back wider end of the bud. Don't let the nail penetrate the front. So with the nail in the middle of the bud going almost to the tip of the front. Use your fingers and begin to firmly compress the bud around the nail. Just rotate the bud and apply pressure squeezing it with fingers for a few minutes. Use thumb, index and middle finger on both hands. Try to keep the shape of the bud intact, it should get a bit smaller and thinner. You should really compress the bud rupturing the oils on the surface making it almost hard, but don't apply too much pressure. Now take a lighter and light the front tip of the bud. Hold the flame to the tip for a while, like lighting a blunt that wont stay lit. After about 30 seconds or more blow on the tip and you should have it lit and cherried. Now pull out the nail and you have a chamber through the middle of the bud. Use both hands at first till the cherry is stable and smoke like a joint, pulling from the hole where the nail went in.
Now you can enjoy smoking a bud through a bud. Awesome!
