Trump thread part 2 (Or anything else we want to talk about that's ridiculous in politics today)

Glad you understand why taxes are bad, now.
I've always known taxes are bad but if you want the government to supplyy services, maintain infrastructure, etc. money has to be raised somehow. So it's not really that taxes are bad ot's that people who can afford to pay more are given ways to pay less then everyone else. If they paid an equal share proportional to their income everyone else wouldn't have to pay so much. Now if only we could get you to understand tariffs aren't really taxes because you can't just pass your taxes off to everyone else like you can with tariffs.

lol. Hahahaha. Bro you were suppose to
Prove it was worth only 18m. Here’s the article again. Re read it and highlight the part where it says its value is 18m. https://finance.yahoo.com/news/m-professional-appraiser-much-think-140050936.html
Again with the apples to oranges, a professional appraisor is not the same thing as an appraisor who appraises for the purpose of taxation. Also it's not my job to prove something irrelevent to the original topic which was the fraudulant ways Trump valued his properties in NYC for the purposes of getting loans he wouldn't otherwise qualify for or to pay less taxes then he should have to pay.

It’s okay, move the goal posts. Everyone knows the 18m valuation was fraudulent, as was the entire case. It will be tossed or the fine lowered to nothing. Just like the e Jean carol case.

Globalism is horrible for the environment. Let’s send all our manufacturing to places with no environmental or humanitarian concerns, so Herman’s fat ass can get a cheap air fryer that started in china came to America then shipped to Germany. You lefties are a trip. Meile isn’t making an air fryer yet?
It's seems you're the driving force behind pages of nonsense.
The German stock didn't pass through the US. Germany is nearer to China than the USA. In the other direction. In your business model, shipping costs more than the appliance.

Apple and Samsung won't want to make phones in the states. The states will still buy them, even at double the price, because what else is there.
Even a smaller brand won't move in, because it won't make the product any less expensive, in a bid to compete with Apple and Samsung. Then the logistics also suggest it can't be done, because in less than 4 years, Trump will be gone, and somebody put in place to undo all this. So in what context does an outside company want to move to the states.

The only reason an outside player would move in, is if a US player was taking their business. For example, ford make monster trucks (to avoid car emission standards. Bigger the truck, the more it can chuck out the exhaust. So they keep getting longer and wider). If the EU wanted to make them, and sell them in the states, then they might need to make them there. However, even in this all american auto sector, it still don't stick. Because the same tariffs are also making the all american truck cost lots more. Because it's not all american parts.

Trump is moving fast, but should really know that 4 years isn't enough. It's why he circles back to the 3rd term idea often. Trumps speed isn't anything, if people don't want to keep up though. Perhaps you won't change your phone, for an extra year, and not even care. Perhaps your TV can last another year to. Maybe the used market values will take a while to see rises, before people start to see they want a new thing, but it's a bit painful on the pocket. Slowed spending will reduced the need for home produce. The only sector to invest in, might be food. People must buy food. Most other sectors may just wait for trump to be gone. Like John Deere, industry will want to show government, they are managing their own shit, and won't be manipulated by outside interference from government. They must hold as much power as they can, which means not meeting demands, and perhaps not doing all they can for the customer. Just to show government not to fuck with them.

Trump tards don't have personal computers so when they can't afford a new $3,500 smartphone, many will just disappear from the internet. So we have that to look forward to......

"It's a tax on chinese billionaires" 😂

Wall Street Analyst Warns Of $3,500 iPhones
Wedbush analyst Dan Ives isn’t optimistic about Trump’s plan to cudgel foreign manufacturers into returning to the United States, particularly in the tech sector, where Ives said Trump is setting U.S. companies back a decade “while China steamrolls ahead.”

"50% China tariffs, 32% Taiwan tariffs would essentially cause a shut-off valve from the US tech landscape and in the process cause every electronic to go up 40%-50% for consumers,” wrote Ives. “iPhones made in the US would cost $3,500 (vs. $1,000).”

In a follow up conversation with Yahoo! Finance, Ives added that tariffs alone will send the cost of an iPhone over $2,000, assuming they continue to be manufactured abroad.

“I believe after Memorial Day, [the price for a new iPhone] will be over $2,000,” he said. “They can’t absorb — we’re not talking 3-5% through the supply chain, they can’t absorb a 50% hit. This is a black swan event.”

“The reality is it would take them $20 to $30 billion and three years to move just ten percent of the supply chain to the U.S.”

I'm not getting something..
Trumps put 34% on China, but this adds to another recent 20%, making it 54%
That right? It seems commonly reported. Was there no tax/duty/levy before now?

In the UK we pay 20% on a typical online shop. It's from anywhere. 20%. I thought that was pretty universal.
