Trump thread part 2 (Or anything else we want to talk about that's ridiculous in politics today)

I never said America is the only country that prefers whites, in fact I never said America prefers whites. What said is the Trump and the MAGAs prefer whites. This has been well documented over the years and why the MAGA movement is so popular with the White Supremists crowd. I'll not bother digging up the various posts and stories out there on the internet that support this but it is true. Also before you misconstrue that I'm not saying all MAGAs are like that since it's also well documented that there are a number of different ethnicities that are involved with the MAGA movement.

The fact of the matter is that when Trump talks about deporrting peoplehe is mostly talking about people from countries where the population is mainly seen as being brown or dark skinned people. I don't know if you remember acouple of years back when Trump was talking about what he called "shit hole countries" but during that same tim h also talked about wanting more immigrants from placs like Switzerland, Sweden, Norway, etc. You know countries predominently known for white populations. Of course the real truth is that Trump himself doesn't really care so much about skin color as his followers think. He mainly cares about the color of their money or more precisely the amount of it. Which is why lately he's been talking about selling a card that givs people full access and citizenship to th US for the low pric of % Million per card.
Never mind. You were raised on this shit…you’ll never get past it at this stage in your life.

You’re a political junkie. It’s an addiction.

I’ll leave you alone. Good luck

No, it's yet another reach for power to flex his muscles for ego and the press' sake, knowing that if he wanted to, he has a majority in the House and Senate that would do his bidding in any aeras where the power is held by Congress formally per the Constitution.

And elections operations have been left up to the states since time immemorial... by law.
The reason he doesn't take other issues to Congress at the moment is two-fold in my opinion. 1.) The previously mentioned ego-based flexing of muscles to show the world how strong he (thinks he) is.

2.) He's protecting his MAGA minions' rom backlash back home in their districts, as it's turning out that many MAGA voters had no intention of or desire for him doing some/much of what he's done.

It's been reliably rumored that MAGA-supporting Congress members have been instructed to not engage in town halls in their districts, as the backlash when they're occurring is huge and the media is often present.

They're trying to shield some of his supporters in Congress who would otherwise face significant criticism, thus, they can later claim disingenuously, "Hey, we/I didn't do THAT!!".

Dogs and ponies on parade with significant consequences for the Country at this point.

Good ideas don't require force to gain funding.
No, maybe/sometimes not, but minority representation (the losers) in a vote of the proverbial board of directors still often has to accept the outcomes.

Prop 19 (if my memory serves me correctly), -many- years ago in California, essentially asked the voters why people with no kids should be paying for public schools, and the legality of the outcomes and the vote (as supported by their campaign) decided that society as a whole is better off when the members have a good education, thus even those with no children are indirect recipients of the benefits of public schools or education in general in the masses; it effects voting, driving, service economies,, health decisions, and much more.

You can argue the ethereal and abstract philosophical merits of what you're arguing, and you've been doing it in nearly every thread, but the fact is that for society to function well, some folks will object to what the majority decides to do within the constraints of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights as a Constitutional Republic functioning in/with a democratic process.

If 100% consensus in any question is the supposed mark of a 'good idea', well... good luck with that.

Those upset with this centuries-old scheme are always free to form their own societies/countries/etc. But them's the rules in this Country, or they're supposed to be.

Abstractions and ethereal idealisms are great in philosophy class. Getting roads and hospitals built, not so much.

One of Trump's "spiritual advisors"

Kenneth Copeland Says Jesus Has a Special Punishment Waiting For Those Who Didn't Vote For Trump

1. Financial Transparency & Tax Exemption Scandal (2007-2011)

  • In 2007, U.S. Senator Chuck Grassley launched a financial investigation into six televangelists, including Copeland.
  • The inquiry questioned whether these ministries were improperly using tax-exempt donations for personal gain.
  • Copeland refused to cooperate, and the investigation ended in 2011 without formal charges.
  • Critics argue his ministry avoided scrutiny by refusing to release financial records.

2. Private Jets & Lavish Lifestyle

  • Copeland owns multiple private jets, including a Gulfstream V, reportedly worth millions of dollars.
  • He once said commercial flights are full of "demons" and justified private jets as essential for ministry work.
  • In 2018, Inside Edition confronted him about his extravagant spending, and his defensive response went viral.
  • In 2021, his ministry purchased a private airport and hangar from Tyler Perry.

3. Prosperity Gospel & Exploitation Claims

  • Copeland preaches the Prosperity Gospel, which teaches that financial success is tied to faith and tithing.
  • Critics claim he exploits followers by pressuring them to donate money with promises of wealth and health in return.
  • He has been accused of using church donations for luxurious personal expenses.

4. COVID-19 Pandemic Controversies (2020-2021)

  • False Healing Claims:
    • In March 2020, Copeland declared COVID-19 defeated, claiming to have destroyed the virus by blowing air on TV.
    • In April 2020, he claimed God told him that the pandemic was over.
    • Urged followers to rely on faith healing instead of medicine.
  • Tithing Demands During Financial Hardship:
    • Told followers to continue tithing, even if they lost jobs or faced financial struggles.
  • Vaccine Opposition:
    • Spoke against the COVID-19 vaccine, calling it an unholy attempt to control people.

5. Faith Healing & Medical Neglect Criticism

  • Promotes faith healing and has suggested that medical treatment is unnecessary for true believers.
  • Critics argue this has led followers to avoid medical care, risking their health and lives.

6. 2020 U.S. Election Mockery & Political Involvement

  • Copeland is a strong supporter of Donald Trump.
  • After the 2020 election, he mocked Joe Biden’s victory by maniacally laughing for nearly a minute on stage. The video went viral.
  • Has claimed divine intervention in politics and prophesied Trump's victory.

7. IRS Tax Evasion Allegations

  • Copeland has faced accusations of tax evasion due to the church’s tax-exempt status.
  • His ministry owns a mansion, luxury cars, and a private airport, raising questions about personal vs. ministry expenses.

8. Questionable Fundraising Practices

  • Accused of pressuring followers into large donations, sometimes implying they would be blessed financially in return.
  • Some former followers claim they were manipulated into giving beyond their means.

Despite these scandals, Copeland remains one of the wealthiest televangelists, with a net worth estimated at over $750 million. His ministry continues to operate globally, with a loyal following.

*I tried to find a link to the proposition in California I referenced. It was probably about 30-40 years ago or so.
I was unable to find it without more specific information. Agrey day for the brain amidst packing for another remote trip and trying to stay focused while way too tired.

Apologies. Perhaps someone with a better night's sleep behind them and less taxing chores/organizational demands might recall the infamous proposition I was referencing.

Wow are these statistics really true?
It does explain how such a horrible idiot could be freely elected.
The NCES data, based on the Program for the International Assessment of Adult Competencies (PIAAC), indicates that 21% of US adults struggle with tasks requiring comparing and contrasting information, paraphrasing, or making low-level inferences

  • 54% of adults between the ages of 16 and 74 read below a sixth-grade level.

  • Nearly one in five adults reads below a third-grade level.

Trump speaks at a 4th grade level.
The analysis assessed the first 30,000 words each president spoke in office, and ranked them on the Flesch-Kincaid grade level scale and more than two dozen other common tests analyzing English-language difficulty levels. Trump clocked in around mid-fourth grade, the worst since Harry Truman, who spoke at nearly a sixth-grade level.

"Mk 47's" 😂
