America needs a full on redesign of its incentive structures.
Some how the “draconian” policies of the 1950’s produced the pinnacle of our culture. More people were happy.
Sometimes having .1% of your population falling off the edge keeps the other 99.9% far from the edge. Putting crappy guardrails up encourages people to test the edges, and even more fall off than before the safety rail was in place.

I’m not a conservative either.
When you’re brainwashed it’s common to see people as belonging to your group, or the opposition group. I personally think ideologies are dumb. They automatically tint your view of the world.
What I do like to watch are the mental gymnastics of people that believe a person either does no wrong, or can’t ever do anything right.

As a person that was educated in physics, calculus, engineering, low level machine code, etc, I’ve learned more out of school than in a school.

Government schools original and present purpose is to indoctrinate and teach unquestioning obedience to authority. Prussian school model under Kaiser Wilhelm. Brought to the USA by Horace Mann. You probably know that, but most today don't.
The Public School industrial complex is a racket and uses licensure, codes and other barriers to entry to ensure it doesn't have any real competition. Shameful that they use "poor kids" as a rationalization to steal and threaten people to gain funding.
I never get a direct answer why it's okay to force people to pay for something they aren't interested in.
