Because it's so obvious that will never happen that even Zach can see it but he still thinks the world can become all rosey if we just play nice with Russia.a deal NEEDS to be made?
why can't putin just nut- up and be a good person?
You can’t win a war with a nuclear power. As forces converge on Moscow, everyone on earth dies.No Ukraine could just keep fighting and killing 100's of thousands of poorly trained, poorly equipped troops. Their losses aren;t anywhere near what Trump claims. He's sayng that Ukrasine has lost millions of people yet even by the most generous estimates (since neither Ukraine or Russia are being transparent about their losses) the total number of casualties if you add both sides together still hasn't exceeded 1 million, let alone one side having more thn a million. Now that pretty much all of Europe and most of NATO have pledged to keep supporting Ukraine, Ukraine could win this war by fighting Russia to the point of atrician being too great or until Putin dies, whichever comes first. Neither is very far into the future. On paper Russia being listed as the second most powerful military in the world, second only to the USA, by all rights should have won in 3 days as they claimed they would when they first invaded. They didn't because the numbers on paper are inaccurate do to massive corruption in the Russian military which has had generals and various oligarchs pocketing the money rather then keeping the military up to date. Which is why Russia has been unable to properly equip it's soldiers, are feeding them old rations that are several years beyond their expiration, having troops use what amounts to a lightly armor golf cart for troop transport, using tanks pulled out of mothballs that date as far back as the end of world war two, making new weapons and muntions using salvaged consumer electronics that are unreliable and many other things that are an utter embarrasment for what everyone once thought was the 2nd most powerful army. There are literally dozens upon dozens of documntaries detailing how far short Russia is falling in terms of it's military. All one needs to do to educate themselves is to look them up and watch. Although I'll warn you that many of them are multiple hours long because there is just so much to cover it can't be done in a short video that is easy for someone with ADD to watch and learn from. The most likely reason Putin is showing any willingness to deal is because it would help him greatly to prepare for his next invasion if he could have a few years to build his military up to anything close to what it should be already.
Now it will be harder for Ukraine to keep on holding Russia at bay if the US stops helpping because of the US having the much greater capacity to churn out weapons and ammunition. However, the countries that are pledging continued support for Ukraine already have outperformed the US on assistance by multiple billions. That was back when due to the US's contribution they didn't have to try as hard. Now that they've all seen that the US can't be counted on to continue to help Ukraine they've all been ramping up their production to fill the void the US will be leaving. Additional the more powerful ones are expressing a willingness to put boots on the ground to level the playing field of soldiers on both sides. When you consider that with a force about 1/6th the size of the original invading forces from Russia, Ukraine was able to hold them back from their objective of taking Kiev in 3 days and that was even before the US or the EU started supplying Ukraine with more modern weapons and ammunition. With the aid they've been given, more recently not only has Ukraine been able to push Russia back but they've also been able to target weapons storage and manufacturing on the Russian side of the border helping to speed up Russia's attrition rate. Your cute response that Ukraine must be in a Yugo is meaningless. Regardless of whatever vehicle they're driving they're still in the driver's seat meaning they're more in control. So unless Russia has a whole bunch of the modern equippment and well trained troops worthy of being considered the second most powerful military, that Putin can pull out of his ass after not being able to do so for three years. Then there is no reason for Zelensky to deal as if he has nothing to deal with.
The one thing that could turn things against Ukraine's favor is now that the US has decided to side with Russia, would be if the US started to supply Russia like it was doing for Ukraine. If that happened however there would be more backlash from the American public and the rest of the free world then Trump could handle. That's not likely to be an issue though given the way the economy is going and the way Trump is alienating all it's allies and trading partners. Trump will have his hands full keeping the US from falling apart. Of course that would just be the cherry on top for Russia as they've long been wanting to see what's happening to the US, actually starting to happen.. Putin just needed a President stupid enough to thing Russia actually wants to be friends.
the public sector are attacking the private sector, yet the public sector relies on the private sector for capital to pay the wages and welfare. the sooner the pot runs dry the sooner the protected civil servants will understand what a blue collar worker is
Clay/Ali was taking a stance based on moral convictions, he had the money that he could have paid someone to fake something to get him out of service but it would have also put him out of boxing. He did the right thing and in the end he got out of jail and went on to become one of the greatest fighters of all time.what about the majority of americans who were not so rich or connected to the establishment . what about cassius clay , muhammed ali ? was he not convicted and refused a boxing license in the usa? if it was so easy to feign an injury that would rule one disabled for combat , then everyone would of done that, as most were against the war.
Yeah, well he's super rich and his businesses are important to the Government, so you know how that goes.musk's entitled to a deportation and/ or imprisonment
The urge to exclude people with different opinions is another authoritarian trait.musk's entitled to a deportation and/ or imprisonment
keep on fighting is certainly an option...No Ukraine could just keep fighting and killing 100's of thousands of poorly trained, poorly equipped troops.
u really think the ukraine can win against a foe who has no value for human life??Now that pretty much all of Europe and most of NATO have pledged to keep supporting Ukraine, Ukraine could win this war by fighting Russia to the point of atrician being too great or until Putin dies, whichever comes first
maybe true ..maybe not... maybe putins replacement is worse.... Neither is very far into the future.
all true... but it seems you see options as have a ceasefire, and then putin will rearm... or have the ukrainians keep on fightin till the whip the russians... i agree on the ceasefire giving him time to re-arm... i don;t see the ukrianians beating the russiansOn paper Russia being listed as the second most powerful military in the world, second only to the USA, by all rights should have won in 3 days as they claimed they would when they first invaded. what u miss is that putin will sacrifice a million maybe more troops... he ain't going to lose..Regardless of whatever vehicle they're driving they're still in the driver's seat meaning they're more in control. trump knows full well putin ain't a friend... he knows he's a scumbag... he is trying to end the killing... that u don't like how he is going about it is fair enough... BUT.. for 3 years all we have done is supply weapons... no talking, just more killing... if you think that supplying more weapons is the answer, i'd disagree , but to the europeans i'd say ..... go it alone...
It doesn't matter who signs a death pact or not if a nuclear war happens as you said everyone on earth dies. That's why it's not likely to happen. it's only getting tossed around as a real possibility because there are enough people afraid it might actually happen. If it stayed limited to just Ukraine then there are big parts of the world that wouldn't die. Everyone would suffer in some way or aother but people far enough from Ukraine would live. For certain though, being right next door Russia would die and since Putin is the only one anyone thinks would actually launch nukes there he'd have to be either willing to die and take his country with him. Not a likely choice for someone mostly motivated by leaving what he feels is a good legacy. You can’t win a war with a nuclear power. As forces converge on Moscow, everyone on earth dies.
If the euro peons think Ukraine is worth dying for, go ahead and die. But my country won’t sign the death pact with you.
well ... maybe that was trumps intention all along.... get em to pony up some coin...No it's just their insurance against Trump actually trying to follow thru. It's still a smart move on Denmark's part due to the Artic Circle opening more from ice melting and creating ways for China and Russia to take advantage of the Artic Circle. Sure 2 Billion is a lot of money for a country the size of Denmark but they've been doing well in Denmark for a long time, 2 Billion isn't all they can manage. Besides it's not all just Denmark, part of that is from Germany and I think there are a few other countries involved. That's also aside from increased defense spending for a NATO without the UDA as well as their continued efforts to support Ukraine.
He's an authoritarian capitalist parasite that does Nazi salutes. Fuck his entire existence. The urge to exclude people with different opinions is another authoritarian trait.
thanks for the plug... as to russia.... they are scumbags, never to be trusted.... does that help u understand my mindset??Because it's so obvious that will never happen that even Zach can see it but he still thinks the world can become all rosey if we just play nice with Russia.
What you're leaving out of your calculations is that Putin is not very popular among his own people most of them only act like they support him out of fear of what might happen and has happened to others that don't. There have already been a couple of short lived moments where the Russian people started to resist but then they were able to be quieted pretty quickly. Fear only controls people and animals just so far, eventually most any living creature can be pushed to the point of fighting back. They say even a bunny rabbit will turn on you if you make it feel hopeless enough. Despite the staged images seen when Tucker Carlson did his propaganda tour of Moscow, things there aren't going good for the Russian people and they are upset by much of what Putin is doing. They just haven't reached the point of ignoring their fear of Putin yet.keep on fighting is certainly an option...

Not really because clearly you are trying to project a stance that isn't aligned with your feelings. On the chance you really feel that way though, you're wrong not all Russians are scumbags or untrustworthy they just live under the rule of a dictator that is a scumbag and untrustworthy. Many of them are very friendly, kind, compassionate, trustworthy people.thanks for the plug... as to russia.... they are scumbags, never to be trusted.... does that help u understand my mindset??
I'm not sure what you're talking about, the exchange you're quoting in no way shape or form is saying anyone should pay for anything. It's just me explaining to someone that I'm ignoring them. I have an idea what you're suggesting but I'd rather you be more specific then me just spending time answering a question based on me guessing what you're asking about.Should people be forced to pay for ideas they don’t believe in?
it is entirely possible that i'm wrong, but i think this is true pretty much everywhere. not of every person, but the majority. JMHO bound to be some exceptions out there proving the rule though. i'd guess most of those are religious/racial based hatreds. Many of them are very friendly, kind, compassionate, trustworthy people.
If that were true then Social Security would not be facing insolvency in 10 years. Now if the people they pay to deny someone's claim were paid from the money that funds Social Security your statement might make sense but not really. Lots of people get denied each year if they just approved everyone regardless of whether or not they qualify they would run out of money sooner. Your statement also rings false because at this pont in time, even before Musk and DOGE the number of workers a Social Security was at an all time low makng everything less efficient. The idea that 10+ people are involved in denying just one claim is just totally ludicrous. They could fire the entire social security bureaucracy, automatically approve every claim, and still cost less than now. They literally pay 10+ people $100,000 a year to deny some guys $850 a month.

If so it's pretty stupid as that 2 Billion does Trump no good. Had he not made those threats, repeatedly, who knows they might have put more money into NATO which is something Trump was trying to get them to do.well ... maybe that was trumps intention all along.... get em to pony up some coin...
