I don't know what they expected it was a no win situation for everyone involved either destroy the economy of the US and most of the world by letting the US default lose millions of jobs, go into the worst recession in history and see the stock market lose trillions in profits Or agree to the cuts and budget the republicans really wanted and have almost the exact same thing happen except it would be more limited to just affecting the US. Plus it's not as if the republicans were serious about improving the economy or the national debt, they're currently working on a 3+Trillion tax cut for the rich.So with a "tentative deal" reached, how long will Kevin remain speaker? 'Cause if reporting is accurate, there aren't many cuts and they didn't get the Military increase.

That 20 Billion represents that there won't be an increase of 87,000 armned IRS agents won't be busting thru your door with guns blazing, to arrest you because you claimed the wrong exemption on your form 1040. "See? We actually accomplished something you wanted?" Of course that also means there won't be 87000 new government employees making decent salaries and paying in their own decent amount in taxes. 87,000 salaries spending their money on local homes, cars, property, consumables, etc. helping to support the greater local economy.
