In 2019, at the behest of Donald Trump, Attorney General William Barr asked a prosecutor named John Durham to look into the FBI’s probe on possible Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election, in the hopes of proving the then-president’s assertion that it was the “single greatest witch hunt” in U.S. history correct. Instead, according to a Thursday report from The New York Times, Barr and Durham received a tip from Italian authorities that resulted in the Justice Department quietly opening a criminal inquiry into Trump himself. As special counsel, Durham reportedly pressed Italian officials to share any role they may have had in igniting the FBI’s investigation. In response, Italy “unexpectedly offered a potentially explosive tip linking Mr. Trump to certain suspected financial crimes,” the Times reported. Barr and Durham, who had become good drinking buddies by this point, decided the tip was both credible and serious. The attorney general then asked Durham to open a criminal investigation that included examining Trump’s possible wrongdoing. The nature of the Italian tip is unclear, but no charges were ever brought by Durham in relation to it.

LOL knowingly. You take Trump's post literally but there is always an underlying meaning....
No, there isn't always an underlying meaning. Now if you said lying meaning that I could go along with given that Trump is such a prolific liar. But as far as underlying meaning that's just your deluded MAGA brain seeing things where nothing exists. It's why you are so often wrong about the nonsense you post here on this site.

See that's the difference between you MAGA types and the rest of the world, you all need to be told what to believe. Anyone that is paying attention can clearly see that Trump isn't smart enough to be playing the 4 Dimensional chess you all want to believe he's playing but you are so obvious in your desire to believe he's that clever that every time he screws up that someone like Steve Bannon, or Q or Tucker Carlson just needs to tell you to believe he's actually cleverly manipulating people and you suckers all believe it. The amazing thing is that Trump usually bleets out 4 or 5 other stupid explanations for his behaviors before someone comes up with a clever explanation that makes it look like he's playing 4D Chess. Fortunately for Trump though you all just ignore all that and latch on to the last thing that someone tells you to believe.

when they come for The Chump, will they allow his attorneys to escort him in for booking, fingerprinting etc, or will the FBI have to flash-bang him out of one of his offices & perp-walk the POS into the history books? i'd give a LOT of money to see the second version play out, with a garbage can over his head to prevent him the "embarrassment" of being photographed like the common criminal that he is? :jump:

Here’s Why the Big Club and People Managing Ron DeSantis Hate Donald Trump 1 of 5

January 26, 2023 | Sundance | 61 Comments
President Trump transmitted a message to congress, warning them not to cut Social Security and Medicare {Direct Rumble Link}. Many politicians and pundits will look at Trump’s position from the perspective of it being good to campaign for older voters, but that’s not the core of his reasoning.

In 2016 CTH was the first place to evaluate the totality of President Trump’s economic policies; specifically, as those policies related to the entitlement programs around Social Security and Medicare. We outlined the approach Trump was putting forth and the way he was approaching the issue. In the years that followed, he was right. He was creating a U.S. economy that could sustain all of the elements the traditional political class were calling “unsustainable.”

Before getting to the details, here’s his video message and policy as delivered yesterday. WATCH:

Fortunately, we do not have to guess if President Trump is correct. We have his actual economic policy results to look at and see how the expansion of the economy was creating the type of growth that would sustain Social Security and Medicare. This was/is MAGAnomics at work.

♦ On Social Security – Unlike many other 2016 Republican candidates, Donald Trump did NOT call for rapid or wholesale changes to the current Social Security program; and there’s a very good reason why he was the only candidate who did not propose wholesale changes.

With the single caveat of “high income retirees” (over $250k annually), which previously Trump said he was open to negotiating on, President Trump does not consider these programs as “entitlements”. The American people pay into them, and the federal government has an obligation to fulfill the promises made upon collection.

To fully understand how Donald Trump views the solvency of Social Security, you must again understand his economic model and how it outlines growth.

The issue with Social Security, as viewed by Trump, is more of an issue with receipts and expenditures. If the aggregate U.S. economy is growing by a factor larger than the distribution needed to fulfill its entitlement obligations, then no wholesale change on expenditure is needed. The focus needs to be on continued and successful economic growth.

What you will find in all of Donald Trump’s positions, is a paradigm shift he necessarily understood must take place in order to accomplish the long-term goals for the U.S. citizen as it relates to “entitlements” or “structural benefits”.

All other candidates and politicians begin their policy proposals with a fundamentally divergent perception of the U.S. economy.

The customary political economy theory, carried by most politicians, positions them with an outlook of the U.S. economy based on “services”; a service-based economic model.

While this economic path has been created by decades old U.S. policy and is ultimately the only historical economic path now taught in school, President Trump initiated his economy policy with the intention to change the dynamic entirely, and that’s exactly what he did.

Because so many shifts -policy nudges- have taken place in the past several decades, few academics and even fewer MSM observers, were able to understand how to get off this path and chart a better course.

Donald Trump proposed less dependence on foreign companies for cheap goods, (the cornerstone of a service economy) and a return to a more balanced U.S. larger economic model where the manufacturing and production base can be re-established and competitive based on American entrepreneurship and innovation. This is the essence of MAGAnomics.

The key words in the prior statement are “dependence” and “balanced”. When a nation has an industrial manufacturing balance within the GDP there is far less dependence on the economic activity in global markets. In essence the U.S. can sustain itself, absorb global economic fluctuations and expand itself or contract itself depending on the free market…cont

when the rubber finally hits the road, i figure he'll flee the country to some already arranged spot with no extradition treaty w/the us so he can spend his thankfully short time left on earth tweeting in a rabid rage at all of those "disloyal" to His Highness..."a WITCH HUNT, i tell you! there has never been such a band of ungrateful traitors ever known in the history of mankind! and i KNOW all about treachery, lying, deceit, and betrayal! I'M the BEST at ALL of those..." :biglaugh:

Everyone knows that Trump lost the election and is aware of his inability to accept anything that he disagrees with.

Nobody considers him smart or cunning besides himself.

The fool is an immature hack and has nothing but lies to support outrageous claims.

This is such a perfect example of how the MAGAts bend over backwards in desperate attempts to try and cover for Trump's stupidity. Trump clearly doesn't know how to properly spell stolen in the above message he sent out on his Twitter knock off where he spelled it STOLLEN. Instead of just accepting his spelling skills are worse then someone in elementary school or at least explain it by saying he accidentally hit the "L" key twice, Three Dingleberries here would have you believe it's some cryptic reference to a Texan racist who tried to bring back slavery in the 60's (even though such a reference is totally out of place with the message Trump was trying to convey). As if that weren't enough he also tries to use it to suggest that simply because he was friendly with the guy it's proof that LBJ was a racist and hated JFK (ignoring that LBJ was historically a President that did more to advance racial equality then any President since Lincoln.

I mean come on, how brain dead do you have to be to believe this kind of nonsense? What do these MAGAts do everytime Trump misspells something? Do they just frantically look for a way that misspelling is correct and then try to twist their brains into a pretzel trying to see it as a hidden message from their orange God?
