I'm just watching season 1 on DVD which i got from a friend, but it's addictive to watch.I like the atmosphere in this serie.I don't know about the other seasons if it is as good.I must say that it surprised me to hear a Canadian actress with a southern accent.

The food Lafayette makes gives me the munchies everytime i watch when he is busy in the kitchen.I wonder if they still eat BP shrimp.

This season has absolutely flown by. It wasn't as exciting as other seasons but it really builds a base for whats coming I think. We got introduced to importlant characters, learned what sookie really was, and really got to explore the vampire world and how it runs and is governed. Is it just me or have we not seen the last of Russel Eddington? I just feel like his is a pretty crazy story line just to die in the parking lot of Fangtasia.....

they are really pushing the gay agenda in true blood recently, which is a major turn off for many male viewers. im going to watch it but many people who have read the books are quitting watching it because they say HBO is butchering what the books truly stood for...the series isn't even remotely close to what the books are some say..

With you 100% on the gay agenda part of this season, I hate it, and a matter of fact I just fastforward through most of the lafet storyline anyway because it has nothing at all to do with what is going on in the rest of the series. As a gay V dealer I thought he was a good character, but if they try and give him some "powers" or something ridiculous I am going to be pissed. Not a homophobe, I just don't want it thrown in my face just for the sake of doing it, at least be clever and make it part of a bigger picture.

I am not going to spoil the rest of the series by reading forward, but I do have books 1-3 sitting on a shelf and I am going to read them this winter because I am interested to see how much they have changed the books to a TV series. I haven't read very many books since I graduated from college, I did as a kid but I just grew so tired of it during the University days that its almost like a punishment instead of a reward now days. I heard these were very well written, so I'm going to give them a shot.

Excited for the last episode tonight, i'm 8 hours out on the west coast.

Just watched the finale. I thought it was decent season. Could have been better obviously. I enjoyed it more than season 2, but not as much as season 1.

I too have been tempted to read the books; I have been told by one person they are better than the show (books always are) and completely different from the show, but was told by another person that they focused to much on the romance and weren't very good.

Ah, well it's going to be a long winter so I might pick them up.

Season 4 next summer.

Bottom line: HBO dropped the ball big time with it's series this season. TB and Entourage had very shitty finales, TB was okay to watch but you weren't on the edge of your seat like the last 2 seasons...I kind of think they just skimped on the character development and made this season a bunch of buildup for next season, which is good in a sense, such as hinting about witches (which i already knew was coming, there will be a witch vs vamp war probably) and hinting at lafayette's 'past' and him being a shaman or witch himself, then the shadowy unveiling of Arlene's devil baby...too much hinting and not enough revelation.

As of next month I plan on dropping my cable all together and just download the episodes off TPB. Fuck em.

Hoyt is gonna fuck his Mom up. hes gonna be all fucked up on Jess' blood and its gonna happen

Bill is obviously going to overpower the queen. not sure why, just my guess.

and we are gonna find out what that fucked up doll thing was in the new home of Hoyt and Jess.


Since Lola isnt around to give us her wacky predictions, i figured id pay a little homage to her and do it myself.
