Trouble finding hexane? Look no further!!

Most people I know have been having trouble finding hexane to make "honey oil"

I'd be interested in seeing more info on hexane. There's a lot of speculation on the health risks using solvents, although I haven't seen any solid evidence like a gas chromatography reading of finished purged honey oil. There was a thread on OG where the guy claimed he "had a friend in a lab" but nothing ever came of it.
I've seen much more info on butane contents than of hexane contents. Sooo hexheads... what can ya tell me about hexane vs butane? Why would a person who extracts with tane wish to chose hexane instead?
Also, I've seen CO2 mentioned as a way to make oil but never seen a thread on doing it that way. That would be interesting as well.
I think the "no solvents" camp will always remain that way. If it's not your thing, that's cool. I myself am not opposed to solvents, just want to get as much info as possible. I think it's something that can be done with relative safety if properly armed with knowledge.

This information is for people, who have enough common sense to keep any open flame away from all solvents and hazardous chemicals! In my honest opinion, which is just that my opinion, I prefer bubble hash (the only solvent involved is water.) I like the taste and everything about it...I could go on but anyways. Don't get me wrong, this is not my point to justify one versus thee other, but some people just are not mentally capable to complete this project. Butane has been readily available for a long time because it has so many applications and is inexpensive now after being marketed by so many companies. Unfortunately, the cleanest and purest butane is the usually the most expensive (i.e. anything on Colibri's level is suitable). Hexane is another good solvent, but has been harder to acquire until recently because so many companies are financially struggling, they are willing to sell to whoever! Alcohol is another good solvent, so basically there is no right or wrong solvent. Since delta-9-THC is such a large molecule, any of these solvents is suitable to extract high quality "honey oil"! It really comes down to your own personal preference of your final product...which one suits you best to create the taste you want? The same procedure is used with each solvent, but it doesn't matter which solvent you use.

And Cook CO2 wouldn't work. If you got any specific ques PM me.

hello...!!!!danimal!!!!!!mohawks for life... hexane kicks iso ass and bho ass..hey T?U send some of that hexane this way!!! i use MG chemicals ELECtrosolve...never used any lab grade.....but this shit works wounders ...im bout to make some oil with mG electro..with about a golf ball size ball of kiff only...and i will be having a full thread on it !!and i guess im the one that everyone hates cause i said tha word hexane..

I was crankin out some BHO and showing a friend how. I FULLY explained the dangers of getting us blown into the next county if this stuff ignites. Not 5 minutes later, my buddy sez "I'll be right back, I'm goin to get a smoke" :bashf: uhhh, dude.....: NO don't go get a smoke dumbass!!!!
Me, I'm sure to take the cellphone outa my pocket, be outside away from the house, don't shuffle my feet, etc. OVERKILL if anything, and dude'

So yeah, some folks are dangerously stupid.
Still, haven't seen much info on hexane. An example of what I'd be interested in is any of Hashmaster Kut's oil threads on OG. Dude has clearly taken the time and effort to contact the companies, get as much info as they'll give (especially on what kind of nasties they may contain) , compare different butanes, etc... So far haven't seen that kind of info on hexane.
Does hezane come as a compressed gas like tane? Does it have a low boilig point like tane? I don't like ISO because of how long it takes to evaporate. Oh yeah, and it tastes like ass.
And tru, somewhere I saw someone claiming oil can be made with CO2, although I'm not sure where. Might have even been bubbleman mentioning it in one of his anti-solvent talks(I could be wrong and appologize if misquoting anyone)
I have yet to see a thread on using CO2. Maybe what they're talkin about is sort of freezing and knockin off the trichs using CO2. Sort of the dry version of ice hash. I dunno
So far, I've just tried BHO which I liked a lot. I would love to try some ice hash though.

Hexane comes in a liquid, similiar to a very strong Everclear--would be the best description I think. It's boiling point is very low, like butane so, both will evaporate rather quickly at room temperature. And if it still doesn't evaporate quickly enough for you, then just circle your dish of BHO over boiling water to increase evaporation rate. There are methods that use CO2 plus other components to extract trichomes, but in those cases, it's not used as a solvent. peace, tRu

what i meant was seeing that fungus in liguid in the syringe, which looks like it had a sharp on the end of it....you wouldnt inject it would you???? sorry for my ignorance, what is the purpose of it being in a needle?
