Trinity Oregon Skunk

Hello IC, does anyone have any info on Trinity Oregon Skunk?

I have had someone read me the cannabible description and I fell in love, it sounds like the Roadkill skunk i (and many others) are looking for.

I was under the impression it was clone only, but I have recently aquired 12 seeds from a kind soul. They are not marked S1s, or F2s, so i'm not really sure what's up. I don't claim them to be the real deal, but u can bet i will be popping them asap.

I don't have the cannabible or else i would post the description. If anyone with the bible could post the info i'd apreciate it greatly, thanks.

OK, so i came to find out that Trinity Oregon Skunk isn't exactly what's in the cannabible, a friend assumed it was the same as "Trinity" as it's from Oregon, and a definate skunk, a true roadkill type skunk.

Anyways, I started the pack of Trinity Oregon Skunks yesterday, and will plant them today.

If anyone could provide me with some information on Trinity I would apreciate it, any veg or flower shots so i can compare these to it. Any info on flower time, stretch etc. would be helpful too.

I'm sure hoping these are super skunky. :chin:

Hmm, I live in Eugene and have always seen 'Trinity' nugs from "Trinity" County in California. Just like Humboldt buds are from that county. Where does Oregon come in? Thanks.

to add to the confusion, some years back in the midwest (mid-'90s) there was a 'trins' strain floating around northern wisconsin. it was a short, frosty indica with an intensely dank aroma. in those younger, dumber days, i always assumed 'trins' was short for trinidad, but being it's an indica & not a tropical sativa, 'trinity' seems much more likely.

anyways, sounds like the same thing you're describing...

yeah that seems to be the story everywhere....everyone keeps the fruity pheno to breed and forgets about the stinky stanky smell a small nug in a baggie in your friends pocket across the room skunk! most breeders were probably scared to grow this kind of skunk because of the smell....i still drive by peoples farms and smell skunk and wonder if they grow or did someone just run a skunk over.

Laugh at me if you want, but I still think the RK skunk is still in Humbolt county, most likly some old hippie living in a shack in the hills has it as his personal stash :yummy:

i know that feeling..

its funny, sevreral months ago on another forum i posted a thread about how i love the smell of a fresh roadkill-skunk..

so much so.. that im almost willing to collect a dead skunk from the road and leave his ass to rot outside my window

its a one-of a kind "addictive" smell that always reminds me of certain fresh-plants i've grown out

so what i dont get... is why don't the "skunk" strains of weed for sale from breeders smell like that? as i've stated before, i know little about "known" strains, and have only recently purchased seeds from online

by what your all saying.. im guessing.. if you buy skunk #1 or superskunk, or armageddon skunk, or any of these others, it aint gonna smell like the dead-skunk?

well thats completely fucked up...

and if these varieities are called "skunk", the name should be changed!

you'de think with a name like that, somebody would isolate and accentuate the gene that causes this odor

wtf...

who remembers this charectar

it was a he-man charectar.. from the early 80's

if i can find a roadkill-skunk smelling pheno in bagseed... there has to be more outthere

goodluck to whoever finds it, breeds it, and pimps it out there

Your dead on billy, It must be out there. 70'S pothead has got the right Idea, humboldt DEFINATELY has some growers up there that have a cut, or possibly even seeds. And Im sure that is not the only place where it lives on.

The quest continues eh T2U ;)

the real RKS lives on from BC to Cali, no doubts, and the places in between (Seatle, Oregon).

The HA have cuts of it, no doubt, no question. Now I'm not convinced it's 1 specific elite cut, but more like maybe 5-10 versions.. Since pretty much NO one i know can give a 1st hand impression of what their (like I said, i think there's a few versions) RKS looks like in veg, flower, it's impossible to say for sure.

For instance i think there's heavy afghan pheno RKS, and typical 75/25 sat/indy RKS cuts out there. I also think there are one of phenos of certain seedlines that can produce the RKS smell, altho not common commercial ones.

Bagseed, definately possible to fine something close. The 1st grow i did was from an unkown skunk line, and was actualy skunkier than ANY of the 'skunk' seedline or clones i've grown (cept cheese and ecsd and PG13)..

I am also thoroughly convinced one man's RKS smell is NOT the same as another person's RKS.. Some people decribe it as slightly sweater, some say piney, some say deisely, some say lemony, some say earthy... Of course all side smells on the Skunk smell.

I've spoke to countless skunk lovers, and from sharing cheese, ecsd, i came to find everyone would describe them slightly differently..

So I'm jus lookign for what i know as the RKS, and I guarantee you someone out there would shout 'NO, this isn't RKS!', altho i'm sure most would agree.. I've had at least 25 skunky strains as mersh thruout life, many levels of skunk, and only a few of them were what i would call RKS.. but all of us skunk lovers would be very happy to grow ANY of them, and that's kinda where the cheese and ecsd fit in for me, something to get me by till i find the ultra skunk.

I am very excited about these TOS, very.. I have no idea what the real lineage is, or if it's related to the 'Trinity' cut that's in the cannabible..

There's another cut called Oregon Funk.. who knows, maybe it's a cross of the 2? i dunno.

No zam, no info from the person who gifted these to me, but i will ask soon. They're a very good grower with excellent genes, and also gifted me some 1989 SSSC Skunk #1 F2s (I started 5 at the same time as the TOS).. Along with Daywrecker S1s, Bubba Kush x Grape Ape, and Nebu's Chaos Mix (guy who was involved with the blackberry cut). So obviously has some nice stuff.

I was pretty stoked about the 1989 Skunk #1 F2s, as aroun the same time the Cheese was from... But, the Cheese was from Sensi seeds, and I've read a post here by British Hempire that he had grown them, and from the sounds of it they weren't super skunky.. I'll have to ask him directly tho.

I thought it would be cool to start them at the same time as they're both skunks. I got 11 TOS, more than enough to tell if there's something good in the line. Believe me, if they're real skunk, they'll be bred heavily, and i pray for a skunky male TOS or F2 to hit up Cheese or ECSD with :yummy:

I'll let u folks know how they grow.. I got 100% germ on both sets of seeds

thanks for some interest folks, i thought this thread would die as i didnt' get any responses for a week or so. so thanks for bringing her back to life.

I fogort to answer the seed looks.. zam, the seeds were fairly large, bigger than the Skunk #1 F2s. They were darker beige, with light brown striping. all uniform, i mean identical. Most stuff i've boughten, or original breeder stock i've been gifted is much less uniform. They were big, but not huge, slightly bigger than average i would say.

These were good seeds, lots of vigor, showed the next day after planting with 1-3mm tails.. very healthy, i'm impressed. They were made in 2005, so i think i should be able to get some info, or at least said 2005 on the bag.

So far they are definately more indica than the SK#1 F2s, but they still only have 1 set of trues.

I may start the daywrecker S1s next, as i do like the ECSD alot, and there might be something nice in there. :chin:
