I'm really humbled by all the nice remarks & am starting to run out of ways to thank you guys. Dank u voor uw steun
Green Supreme thanks bro, its nice to see you around.
TheCheeseMan That pic is one of my favorites too, the deep purple hues are really pleasing to my eyes.
Payaso needless to say I was really high & reflecting on past trips to the dam when I came up with that idea.
DevilsReject glad you are enjoying the show
noreason I think I used 3 different lenses for that last set of pics, a 90, 60 & 19mm macro lenses(Sigma & Nikkor).
!PeAcE! GS is correct its called refraction, no photo shopping required. The 3x's is Amsterdam's city flag.
Here are a few more attempts at refractions...... & I stress "attempts" because most of these didn't turn out nearly as good as I would of liked ( that is the last time I smoke hash before doing delicate macro work lol)....but still interesting to view none the less.
dr.know, major props for these outstanding photos, lots of fun with the refraction....especially like the steal-yer-face shots!!! i'm a photographer myself, but haven't yet strayed into macro. anyway, what sorta gear are you using? digital i assume??? (sorry, i'm old fashioned and always hoping someone else is still shooting film!) anyway, lots of fun....you get my vote for raddest photographs i've seen on IC.....at least for today anyway!
actually, was checkin out some tomhill photos yesterday, those are pretty freakin amazing in their own way.....one day, 10+ lbs/per plant will be mine, all mine....
just noticed your earlier post where you talk about your gear, duh! but seriously, get the bellows attachment!!! i shoot with an old 4x5, and let me tell you, selective focus is the shizzle! my friend had a lensbaby that he used all the time, it's lots o fun....
