You could. I never used to deleaf plants because I feared it would stress them. I know people pick all the big leaves. I know some people leave the top few big leaves.
The lower stuff is an easy take. It doesn't really get light. It blocks air flow. It increases humidity.
But the top leaves, I'm not sure how to answer. If it is blocking light to lower bud sites, I'd remove them.
