I just finished bottling a batch of hard cider. I went with brown sugar and cinnamon this time, with a little Splenda to add sweetness without overcarbonating the bottles. This stuff is nice. The best batch I've made so far. It's 8% alcohol so I need to be careful with it.

I've been taking a little break from growing since I moved in to my place here. I haven't had a harvest in over a year. I miss it. I'm moving again in the spring specifically so I'll have room for a garden again.

One good thing about being here is I don't have to worry about getting busted. There's no money in growing here, but for a hobbyist grower it's awesome.

Christmas of '81 or '82, I walk into the folk's house early to help set up XMas supper for about 15 relatives. I had a full beard that both of them hated, when I went to use the upstairs bathroom I found the electric doggy grooming shears, the beard was gone in less than 2 minutes, next it took about 15 mins to smooth shave my mug.

my dad let out a loud 'whoop!!!' and my mom burst into tears when they saw what I'd done. Hell, I coulda saved the expense of gifts if I'd have known how deliriously happy they were gonna be.......
