just got back from seeing a dying friend, my pal Rory.
the nicest guy you'd ever wanna meet, always lent a helping hand, never let anything bother him.
we are, we were a group of 12-13 friends and individuals that moved to northern Minnesota in '88 & '89 from NY & Chicago; while we each and all have had turmoil in our friendships often severing ties with one another Rory had managed to stay close and friendly with all of us.
only the good die young.......

yep another one of my old workmates just went with the big Cancer, fuk'n cig's. only 54, lung cancer.
same with Rory, close to the same age. he went to the doctor with pain in his neck, he was given just a month to live and is on his last days, the priest administered last rights while I was there today. I'm going to visit again tomorrow hoping that he's a bit more lucid, he was tired although he went from laying down to sitting in a chair in the living room and then back to bed again.
whenever I see this I pray my end comes quickly.
just got a phone call, Rory passed away a couple of hours ago.
