well, he DID say he approved of medical use while campaigning. even if he gives that fat fuck from NJ the AG position, he will probably keep him on a tight leash. he is in office now, he does not need to play to the peanut gallery. plus, several states that carried him into the office also legalized. will he start out by attacking his supporters? my problem is that i keep running my mouth at work (just can't STAND stupidity), & expect to be "randomly" selected for a piss test any day now. since my wife thinks i quit, getting fired over a positive piss would NOT be in my "best interests" right now...

i choose to believe that people were sick of the status quo of establishment politics where it doesn't matter who you elect, they are all insiders who continue the status quo.

Trump is an outsider, never been in any government position. any other candidate could have beat him, but Clinton has too much baggage. sure some racists and woman haters maybe voted for him, but thats not the majority, the majority voted more in the hope of what he will do and not do, then for his campaign talk. so yeah i think it was a fuck you, to the status quo more then anything else.

very risky though voting for an unknown evil rather then the evil you know and are used to. for now all we can do is wait and see. maybe he will surprise everyone.

I have a good idea what will happen, but we'll see. it's true, middle America is full of racists, my social network is full of middle class white guys, most of them NOT college educated, exactly the slice of society that cost Hillary so many electoral votes; she had NO chance, ever, of converting those potential voters to her side, zero.

I live in northern MN, so far north that we're not even considered 'flyover' country, if & when we see a 4 engine jet flying overhead it's either military or a firefighting aircraft. Everyone stops & stares up to the sky when a big one goes by, I haven't seen a large jet airplane in over 10 years by now, it's rare.

That being said an old NY city slicker like myself might engage various folk in talks about Obama over his years, then the Hillary/Trump election. I heard the *N* word batted about like it was nice thing to say; one guy told me that Obama had set 44 new gun regulations in place, not true, this was a guy that hoarded toilet paper for the end of world stuff. I went to his apartment to sell him a gun and he had over 5,000 rolls of the stuff, all I could imagine was that mice (we got those bastards everywhere) were living in the rolls along the wall again, this guy Josh was not college educated.
