topping question?

hey fellow ICers...

i have a question to do with topping...

what it is, i have got two femaleseeds.nl white widows on the go atm, and i just went and topped them at the 5th node the day before yesterday...

what it is i wanted to know is,, if i were to stick these plants into 12/12 now, would the stretching phase at the beginning of flowering be enough time to allow the two new leading shoots enough time to develop into branches,,,

i need to keep everything as short as possible as my flowering closet is not very tall,,, and i almost ran into some troubles with my last grow where the plants were growing into the light,,,

would i be best to leave them in veg for another week or so before moving them into 12/12, or would it work out ok flowering them now?

they dont appear to be suffering any stress from being topped,,,

thanks in advance peeps....

heres some pics of the two plants im referring to...

wow how short do you need to keep them? They look like nice plants, you can snip them at 12/12 or up to around the 2 week mark after switching, but before is the most common and gets the best results.

thanks GMT... they are already topped in that pic... i just wanted to know if by sticking them into 12/12 right now, the two shoots will have enough time to develop into half decent branches...

my cab is only 4.5ft tall, plus i gotta take into account pot size, plus the light,,, im left with around 70cm of growing space i think it is....

i think im just gonna veg them on for another week....

I would if I were you,a good rule of thumb is to have 2 weeks veg time left after the last topping.
