Trump's EO re. elections not only removes that authority from the states (by people who claim to be all about states' rights, by the way), who have traditionally been the holders of such authority, but places remote First Nations/American Native villages and soldiers serving abroad into significantly increased likelihood of not having their votes counted... at a time that both groups are seeing increases in anti-Trump sentiments.

So, hypocrisy and procedural illegality rolled all into one messy little Trumptard ball of shit.

if those remote native villages or the soldiers want to get on a plane, or go to their local government building they need some id... should that not apply to voting??

While that has nada to do with the very valid point I made, there are some issues in your comment to address; not all Native Americans have standardized birth certificates as we know them, and... I don't know about your area, but here, whenever a person registers to vote they require some process involving ID (here there's now automatic registration when one files for a Permanent Fund Dividend check at age 18, and you can bet they look at that, because they're not handing out that money multiple times over to individuals or to those not entitled without noteworthy legal consequences), and when I vote, a voter ID or other State-issued ID is required, as well as a valid signature in the registry at the polling place, BEFORE I can be given a ballot. Not to mention the requirement of ID when I registered.

So, not only is Trump reinventing the wheel that already exists (something he's well known for, by the way), and frequently taking credit for others' achievements, but he's also in violation of long-standing laws concerning who it is that controls elections in the states.

In the interim, his -requiring- (in his unlawful EO) that all ballots be received ON election day, still stands to disenfranchise the votes of (at least) those two generic groups I cited.

Because he's a fascist piece of shit that doesn't mind tilting the game board to his advantage, even if clearly illegal, making him a guy to never wager with, never play poker with, and never buy a used car from.

to vote , u should be able to prove u are a citizen...
If that is to be the case, then the government first has the obligation to provide said proof, to each and
every voter... What is being overlooked and not mentioned is that the side you support has bent over backwords to see to it that only some government documents are acceptable on a highly discriminatory
basis, such as allowing state issued gun permits to used when State issued school ID's are not accepted.

voter suppression is a way for the gop to cheat without cheating.

then they turn around and accuse the other side of cheating, it's the classic whiny entitled rich kid that fucks over the whole class because they won't grovel or some shit, that's the gop.

lies and accuses you, throws a punch, then hides behind paid goons when you go to hit back.

idk, maybe?

I was just looking up something on Social Security, when I saw a video in which Elon Musk was repeating the
age old republican lie that Social Security is a Ponzi Scheme.
It took but an instant to see that he is once more playing fast and loose with the truth. Let's take a quick look at what Mr Ponzi was up to : "He promised clients a 50% profit within 45 days or 100% profit within 90 days"
Ponzi never delivered on that which he claimed. Whereas with Social Security, they have not ever
defaulted on a payment - with a single percent of overhead.
Corporate drones dream of such numbers.
I believe our president has more in common with Ponzi than Social Security ever did.
