With posts like that, you do fine job of belittling yourself sir.

Oh I’m sorry, I was just remembering the oxy contin days...
I’ve lost upwards of 20 friends who got started down that road by docs pushing oxy..
but Mayb I’m misremembering... Mayb they didn’t slang oxy like water.. Mayb it was all a bad dream... Mayb it didn’t come out that they knew the whole time how addictive and dangerous it was... mayb..

It's possible that one of my relatives will end up on that path.

Well I guess she/he already is, this is the part where the path works itself out.

A transgender situation with a niece turned nephew. "Why the fuck would you want to grow a neck beard, it itches".

I know a local attorney that lost his nephew to an OD of Imodium AD.

It has Loperamide, a lesser opiate found in Opium plants, I think.

In 2002 I lost a kidney to clear cell. When they did the surgery to remove it, things did not go well. Had metastasised to an extent
they did not even bother doing a nice job closing me back up, and I was left with chronic pain and nausea as a result of complications with the surgery. Was told there was nothing more they could do for me and that I was being sent home for nature to take it's course.
I ask them to take me off of the meds (oxycontin and dilaudid , and oxycontin instant release), as I wanted mental clarity. If I was only to have a short period of time left, I wanted to spend it in the state of mind of my choice.
I was told I could not be taken off the meds as I still had cancer. As if there were a edict written that everyone with cancer must be on opiates.
I was in Florida, and it was being told they would not take me off of it, that resulted in my moving to the SFV.
I knew how to make hash oil, and wanted the strongest source material I could get. I had heard of the compassionate use act.
Was very fortunate that I met fine people once I got here, that helped me out a great deal. Had to grow from the start, there was
was never enough to meet my needs, and it was not ever like one could simply exchange extract for opiates on a one for one basis.
It is possible with help, and enough desire and will power, luck and prayer and support, it can be done.
Cannabis was not only able to help me get away from the oxycontin, and opiates, but I credit it with keeping me going.
It helps me with the pain, and is useful with nausea.
Have written of it considerably in the med threads, as have several others who have had similar results.
As life goes by, I try to keep an eye out for those who are dealing with cancer, or have may issues with pain meds.
I attempt to see how they are doing. Been able to share what has worked for me with many others over the years.
Has worked to an extent that I have others who help to keep it going. Lost track of what I have gone through years ago. That was not the point...

Watched the Sackler saga for years with the same interest anyone else who was burned by their product.
The family lied to every one, they had complete foreknowledge of what the results would be based off the testing they had done.
They simply lied like hell all down the line, and made it work based off of decent prior reputation.
For anyone to blame all MD's over it is simply absurd. For one thing many did not want or have anything to do with the stuff.
A lot of very decent MD's would not touch it period. They were all lied to by pharmacy reps they trusted and with whom they had done decent business with over a number of years about the stuff, and offered strong incentive to use it.
The company was simply reprehensible in how they pushed the crap.
There would always be some who were willing to buy into it all down the line, as is sadly always the case with human nature.
Many of those who dove in more than they have lost their ability to practice and spent time in the big house.
I saw glimpses of abuse in FL, it was tragic. Would never want that for anyone.
As someone who was on oxycontin, lets be honest here, those who took it as prescribed did not have the same issues that those who
took an "off label" approach to the use of it did.
It has been expensive to all who used it, and is still to current chronic pain patients.
It was specifically the lies and manipulation of the Brothers Sackler who were directly and very personally responsible for what took place.
It was by design and intent, not by accident.
Disgusted as hell that we lived in a dual tiered society which allows them to buy their way out of the responsibility when they knew before hand exactly what the outcome would be.
I do sincerely hope there is a special ring of hell for those who knowing propel something hellish deliberately upon those with whom they have a groomed relationship.

....with whom they have a groomed relationship.

The sackler family couldn’t have gotten away with what they did without active collusion with both the fda, pharmaceutical reps and doctors.
we know why they all did it
they did it for the $.
which is fine but don’t front behind a Hippocratic oath (do no harm) whilst you slang heroin for money
obviously It was not ALL doctors I’m sure ur wife wasn’t prescribing OxyContin to the extent that she kept armed guards behind bulletproof glass protecting an in house 55 gallon drum of OxyContin 80...
I didn’t mean to offend her memory.
im sure there are many good doctors in this world but like all things there’s the good the bad and the ugly. It has been MY experience that the health care industry is full of grift.
it’s anecdotal so it proves very little...and I don’t see how I belittle myself by being skeptical of the financial motivations of those in the health care industry? Care to explain further for me?

This article speaks to a history that is little known between China and the UK.
Have found a good deal of "seldom mentioned" history with imported Chinese labor in the US.
There is similar history of "forced relocation" of some surrounding WWII.
Much of the "history" between some countries has been well laundered.

The secret deportations: how Britain betrayed the Chinese men who served the country in the war

During the second world war, Chinese merchant seamen helped keep Britain fed, fuelled and safe – and many gave their lives doing so. But from late 1945, hundreds of them who had settled in Liverpool suddenly disappeared. Now their children are piecing together the truth

Struggling Seabirds Are Red Flag for Ocean Health

https://www.scientificamerican.com/a...-ocean-health/

as are struggling Manatees in Florida.

They call them "sea-cows", they run them over with their boats.

From watching birds - I suspect that some of the bird die-offs are simply lack of access to water.

In the summer when there is no water, they eat grass, or lick the dew off the grass.

But when the water sources disappear, and the alternatives disappear ...

I find that birds are surprisingly intelligent - when they are well fed.

I suspect that some of their behavior, e.g. scratching the soil to get bugs, is hard wired.

So no matter how "out of it" their brain is, they have certain behaviors programmed in to help them survive, till they get more food & water and their brain works better.

Another Mega Group Spy Scandal? Samanage, Sabotage, And The SolarWinds Hack

The devastating hack on SolarWinds was quickly pinned on Russia by US intelligence. A more likely culprit, Samanage, a company whose software was integrated into SolarWinds’ software just as the “back door” was inserted, is deeply tied to Israeli intelligence and intelligence-linked families such as the Maxwells.
