Too skinny?

Someone said I am doing something wrong with my nutrients because the leaves were too skinny.
I have grown this strain 3 times now and it always does this. The outer fan leaves are normal size, but the leaves coming in around the buds are very skinny.

Is there something wrong? I thought they were fine. Apollo11, 4 weeks in flower.

beautiful sativa lady :)

its normal that the leafes around the buds are the thinnest, especially for sativas ;)
Your lady is looking dark green, too much N or Mg? But then again, looks OK to me.

I wouldn't worry much, honestly.

this looks just like a copper deficiency, yellowing of lower leaves and a blue hue and skinny leaves
I suggested this to her several days ago. She also had top leaves wilting for no reason. Maybe too much phosphorus or nitrogen and low copper.

I did not have top wilting leaves.
I had one set of fan leaves that were too close to the light and got too hot.

Also, there is no yellowing, what you are seeing that is yellow are twist ties.

This is not anywhere near my first grow.

Thanks Stitch for the reply but all the info you have requested is in my grow diaries and I am way too lazy to go through all of that.

to much heat and not enough fresh air...

I'd say if anything, this is the one!!!!! I have to keep them all closed up, although my themometer rarely goes above 85, it is just stuffy in there.

I grew out a cutting from a friend last run and it's got a LOT of sativa in it.... I can't say for sure what strain it was but it poked out the same blue hued leaves and skinny skinny leaves, makes me believe that it's not an air problem if it is actually a problem....
Ph may be an issue here.... Maybe she just likes it a little different than other plants...
I did everything i could think of to fix my girl but nothing really worked.... My buddy is growin the exact same strain, actually i got it off of him and he gets the blue hue on the leaves too... He's done prolly ten runs too...
Maybe it's just the strain but the leaves and the way the buds are forming look a little off.. Maybe it's just me....

This is my 3rd grow of this strain, (from cuttings) they have all looked like this. The smoke has been fine, fine, fine though. And thats what counts right?

They look happy to me ....
,maybe try adding some ventilation even just an extra fan ... that'll help for air flow and temps .... see if it does anything.?

I hope they finish up nicely ...
Love and peace to ya Pomh!

Peace

Indeed, you just need more air moving. Maybe cool it down a bit. I think you said it doesnt get above 85 degrees. i like to keep my grow a cool and comfy 78, i dont let it go above 80. But thats just me.

But i have grown a sativa that had very thin leaves and it was just the strain, nothing i could do to thicken up the leaves. Some are just like that

Well I think I do. I have 2 mini fans running and 1 medium size inside my grow room and a fan blowing in from outside through that silver ducting.
The only thing I don't have is something drawing out.
I open them up periodically through the day when I'm home.

The average temp in there reads between 80 and 85 , but it feels hotter to me. When I open it up I can feel the heat and stuffiness.

may want to get an inline fan or something to pull air in and get rid of stale air. If its uncomfortable to you , the same goes for your plants. If you notice it your plants will to. get some maore air and make your girls feel the breeze in the hair.

Thats part of the problem, the old hot air isnt getting out so you are recirculating old stale hot air, not getting cooler fresh air full of co2 for your girls. Its stuffy as you said. try this. Sit in there with no drink for 30 minutes. If you are stuffy or have a hard time breathing then so are they. Need fresh air exchange is your problem . easily solved my dear
