you are giving some of the best smoke reports i have read on here... ever

perfect at describing each detail.. especially dig how you choose yer words when it comes to the potency department

i also think its good the pics loaded up small like that... its adds a certain aethstetic value... and all ya gotta do is click the photo...and BOOM there they are... full size

i dig live plant shots... but this is the kinda stuff i like most... good clear pics of dried/cured buds, all taken with similar backrounds to make comparissons easy

keep 'em comming!

peace to you..

Thanks for the positive feedback everyone, makes this mornings smokeout all the sweeter.

newbieb> Hard to say which is the most potent, the abusive OGK hits real hard and this hawaiian I've been smoking on lately is no slouch either.

wannabeebreeder> Yes I grow mostly organic with added manure & guano to enrich the soil, I also occassionally use the BioBizz product line.

bILLy WoNkA> Thanks for the golden ticket of approval man. I try not to embelish too much on these reports, keeping it simple but as factual as possible, of course its all just my opinion and ymmv.

This afternoon smoking some outdoor Arcata Train Wreck

Appearance> Looks a little different than indoor Wreck, more colorful with bright red hairs but like typical TW its practically dripping resin.

Bouquet> Doesn't have much smell until you break open a bud then your hit by a deep limey citrus aroma with hints of gasoline, spice and stinky cheese in the background.

Smoking Method> clear joint

Taste> Really smooth smoke, like taking a breath of air. This TW has a sour limey petrol flavor, reminds me of a margarita minus the tequilla, very tasty.

Potency> TW has a nice spacey head high. Its not overpowering or really long lasting making it a good morning smoke. For me Wreck is alot like white widow, it gets you ripped the 1st time you smoke it, from then on you never seem to beable to get that high again no matter how often you smoke it.

Overall Impression> (7/10) Train Wreck is like the Skunk#1 of the 80's here in NorCal. Everyone has it or has grown it & its always good, not great but reliable.

These are awesome reports, with amazing pictures. Very informative, thanks!

If you don't mind my asking, how do you get such variety? Are they all yours, do you know a large grower, or is this all from medical clubs? If it's the last then wow, I had no idea there was such a selection.

bounty29> Everyone around here grows or knows someone who does, its just a part of everyday life here in Mendo. Having 10-30 different kinds of herb in your stash is quite common. Some of these strains can indeed be found on the menu's at some medical dispensaries but the quality is usually piss poor comparatively. All of these kinds were done by me or friends of mine.

outdoor BlowFish (katsu cut)

Appearance> The buds are tight and dense, light green in color with lots of pinkish brown hairs. The resin glands are really small but not short in supply.

Bouquet> BF has a strange complex aroma thats hard to pin down, its sweet smelling with a dark funky berryish undertone, good bag appeal.

Smoking Method> glass bowl

Taste> Even well cured these buds are a bit on the harsh side & the taste isn't that special to me either. Has a sweet floral flavor with a slight fruity mango like aftertaste.

Potency> BlowFish hits you fast & hard in the head, 1st impression is wow this is a strong sativa. Then after about 10-15 minutes it all seems to move to the body leaving you feeling all relaxed but in that tired unproductive, half dead sort of state for hours.

Overall Impression> (7/10) Theres no denying that BF packs a solid punch, however I don't care for the pseudo fruity taste or the rather generic bland body high.

Tonight I'm puffing on some indoor Sensi Hindu Kush

Appearance> Looks like your run of the mill green. The buds are spongy, a little leafy with an average coating of trichomes. A few nanners were visible but no seeds were found.

Bouquet> This stuff looks quite unassuming until you get a deep whiff, initally it smells like some sort of deadly poisonous flower(very unique for Hindu Kush I must say), gradually it gives way to a light citrus carbonated soda kind of aroma which is eerily similar 7-Up soda.

Smoking Method> glass bowl

Taste> If you don't pick up the 7-Up bouquet theres no missing it once you take a fat toke, complete with the fizzy aftertaste & all. The smoke is incredibly smooth & the danky(poison) flavor really lingers in the mouth.

Potency> The effects comes on quite fast, a nice even head/body buzz that lasts for a good hour plus. Its not the strongest high but has lots of character, just makes you feel really comfortably stoned all the way around.

Overall Impression> (8/10) I've smoked lots of different hindu kushes & this sample easily tops them all. The unique aroma & flavor keeps you wanting to pack bowl after bowl.

roastedorange> Yes I believe its the same one your refering to

DrLongbottom> Lucky #7 indeed

On the menu this evening is some outdoor Jackie-O (jackstraw cut)

Appearance> This herb has tremendous bag appeal, the nuggs are fat yet still very light in weight, its a wee bit on the leafy side but covered in sticky resin glands.

Bouquet> JO has a delightful smell, the orangy goodness of the cali-O really comes through. This JO has a very sharp penetrating hashy sweet orange aroma, a few small buds will easily stink up a large room.

Smoking Method> clear joint

Taste> Inhaling this stuff is like smoking dessert. The flavor is rich with a pronouced hashy bite accompanied by a orangy sherbert aftertaste, super tasty as you can imagine. The smoke is quite smooth too not harsh or expansive at all on the lungs.

Potency> This JO has a strong kick, the high is a little heady but also has a warping body stone that leaves you feeling tired and wobbly kneed. Smoking too much is guarenteed to put in an unproductive vegtative but happy state of mind/body for hours.

Overall Impression> (8-8.5/10) Jackie-O is some great smoke all around, has got that wonderful cali-O flavor with a hashy twist & strong high to back it up. For me this JO is harder to build up your tolerance level compared to the katsu cut.

For comparison another outdoor Jackie-O (katsu cut)

Appearance> Has a similar look to the other JO except lighter green color. Its just as frosty and kind of leafy too but these buds are a little more rounded in shape & heavier(not by much) although the whole bud seems nothing more a series of tightly packed pointed calyxs. Like other JO this one has some of the tiniest resin glands.

Bouquet> The smell is a little different, real pungent but not hashy, more like sweet & sour oranges. The aroma is so nice you can't stop smelling the nuggs.

Smoking Method> glass bowl

Taste> This herb is mouth watering, intense taste of sour oranges with slight sweet citrus aftertaste, lipp smackingly good & one of the best orange tasting strains I've ever had.

Potency> This stuff just wrecks you, its much headier than the other JO, doesn't leave you feeling so tired but still warps your brain.

Overall Impression> (8.5/10) Overall I prefer the katsu cut of JO though both are really good. The katsu cut has better flavor & the high doesn't drag me down at all.

katsu JO top & left, jackstraw JO bottom, right
