tomato cages question

First do people support using them?

I am using them indoor with the CAP buckets system under 600s.

Secondly. do most people keep the plant "enclosed" in it...or do you encourage the branches out of it....

I first cut down the size of the legs on the cages....then streched my plant out as wide as possible in the beginning. but now dont know if i should train it back in, so when flowers form the can be supported?

I feel like maybe i should have kept it enclosed at first, and encouraged it out after the stretch?

I love them. I don't necessarily keep the branches in side them, I use the lower rigs to secure and support the branches. There are a lot of variables size, shape, stretch ... I use them to support and to train the habit. I prefer the 54" tom cages for the most part. Tougher to find them this time of year. It is nice when you don't have to run 500 lines from the ceiling or keep adding stakes.
