What you find in Thailand now is very different to what you found in Thailand even in the early 90s most Thai lines are a shadow of what they once were.

A lot of Dutch lines were bred into the Thai lines, then a few years back you had 1 million high CBD clones passed out by the government to add insult to injury.

You want Runtz or Cookies Thailand now the place to find them.
Hi @HEMPY
Where would you recommend looking for seeds, I was thinking in the north near the border with Myanmar, or maybe on the border with Laos in Sakon Nakhon... or would it be a good idea to look in the center or south of Thailand

He can correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think Hempy's actually been to Thailand.

I have all the Thai seeds I need (thanks Wal) but if I was looking I'd go to The Real Seed Company for authentic Thai landrace. I've bought a few and they have all been legit. There's a lot of info on the site as well. There's another site that deals in landrace Thai but can't think of the name. Also Dubi goes there regularly (and has been recently).

If you're there or plan to visit, the first thing I would do is avoid all these seed sellers, I would focus on the Chiang Mai area and work my way up to the boarder, but I wouldn't venture over the boarder I would stay in Thailand.

You need to try and get to know the older growers smokers, if anyone's going to still have the old Thais, it's them.

You could even find it in Bangkok.

You're looking for a needle in a haystack, basically sure there is a lot of Thai seed on offer but how much of that smokes like it did even back in the 80s very little, sadly.

It was Prempavee I was thinking of.

The thing is online options are probably better than travelling there in the hope of finding something yourself. Someone like Angus (TRSC) has lived in the region and likely has great contacts. You're not going to get that on a short visit.

Isn’t that what @HEMPY often says about Thais; they get narrower after the stretch? TBH I lost track this year..😵‍💫
You see it in Colombians too and other sativas they won't have broad leaf like a classic indica but yea they will have broader leaf in veg compared to flower.

You can also have a fairly sturdy frame with short lateral branching in veg, then end up with a tall vine like plant in flower.

some of the stuff i see her growing looks very good ,
she seems like a cool lady ...
and she is in an area well known for the grows that made thailand popular for good cannabis back in the day ...

and yea Angus is onto what goes on , whats best to look at , and has a great grasp of the cultures , geography etc ,, well worth both taking advice from him , and trying some of the stuff he has collected over time ...
certainly beats taking advice from someone who has no clue of the place and is simply guessing ...

“The Thai seed only have 1 in 20 plants that smelling like Thai. Even my haze have more than that, like 4-5 in 20 will be like good Thai”

Most of what I have seen grow out from her seed like most seed sold is hybridised far from what it should be.
She grows both landrace and polys. Her Thai is far from anything poly looking.. Ive posted pics of here plants before. The only neg is she works with Arjan a lot.

I can. Every time you get any negative comments you claim people are trolling. This is a tactic to stop people questioning you.

You're advising people on where to look for cannabis in Thailand, despite never going there.
