Tobacco

I agree Muffinman. I definitely think it would be the best idea for cigarette smokers to grow their own tobacco. I'm sure any input from someone who smokes cigarettes and/or grows their own tobacco would also be greatly appreciated.

Also, I happen to love muffins and Chef from South Park :D

i think it's illegal and it also requires a lot of space
Growing to sell without proper licences is probably illegal, but I'm sure you could grow your own.

you couldn't grow tobacco in your closet and make more than like a pack of ciggs :p

Haha. Fair enough. I agree with nycdfan042. Just don't smoke. But I'm just curious, as is Muffinman, to see if anyone does grow tobacco on here.

Not entirely sure, but isn't tobacco really hard on the soil it is grown in? As in, it takes out all the nutrients without giving anything back? That it practically ruins the soil it was grown in. I believe I read somewhere that if you grow tobacco in a field, said field has to be revitalized before anything else will grow in it. Again, not entirely sure, but I believe I read that somewhere.

We had a gardener/caretaker that grew his own at our little farm.
He had a few plants, but mainly smoked those when he had no money to buy the pouch shit, and he rolled all his cigarrettes in notebook paper, yeck

the good tobacco grows down south in VA and the carolinas. I guess its the climate. I also read once that you have to be careful handling it. If you use bare hands handlng the leaves you can poison yourself with nicotine poisoning.

i grew tobacco when i worked in a hydro shop ,never grew enough to smoke ,but just to show that u could basically grow anything indoors ,
while growing it the shop was advised by the customs not too have any more than 10 plants as that would be enough to produce 200 cigarrettes ,any more would need a licence and be taxable ,

1 thing we noted whilst growing tobbacco was the leaves were super sticky ,even more sticky than a cannabis bud ,no where near as pretty though

I was never poisoned by handling the leaves. Maybe if you continuously do, I can see it happening maybe..
I tried smoking some dried off the plant, but it wasn't nice and cured like cigar tobacco. I think it was the equivalent to hay bud.dried too fast.

I think thats if you work in the processing of it.. Like handling the leaves while curing. I used to work for RJ Reynolds and someone told me that.
