To flush or not to flush, possible nut burn in young clones

Hi everybody
A week ago i got a few clones of ak-47, they went through a transplanting shock when i first put them in my set up, one died but rest kinda snap out of it. Now a week later looks like i might have a N toxicity or lockout and the new growth has burned tips so my though was a nut burn ... but i dont think i added anything too much to burn them, here's what i added till yesterday

day1 - got clones, inoculated them in ZHO, watered with 3.5 ml aquashield, 5drops of hormex, .5tbls liquid karma, 1tsp Microbrew, .5tsp Silica Blast. My ppm was 390 (water to start was 160 ppm bubbled for 24h) and ph of 6.6

day2 - in the morning the soil and rockwool cubes were dry (im sure the clones werent rooted yet) all got .25 liquid karma in .25 galons of water (divided over all 6 plants). Later on that day the cubes were dry again so i watered them with 1tsp of PureBlendPro Grow and .5 tsp of silica blast (ph at 6.7 and ppm at 540 - could the tox come from here ?)

day 3 - first foliar feed with calplex and huvega, hormex and liquid karma (during the lights off). Than later on watered with grow+Liquid Karma (420ppm) and again just over the rockwool since it dried)

day 4 - My plants looked really underwatered this day so i watered twice with the same mix as day 3 but 2 plants looked really under watered so i gave them a 3 watering

day 5 - watered with phed water and liquid karma only the ones that looked underwatered

day 6 - all got watered just a littlebit with phed water and liquid karma

day 7 - sprayed need oil and zero tolorance during lights off (already had spider mites webs on my internods) than watered with liquid karma, sweet, and calplex with huvega (they were showing both calcium and magnesium def)

day 8 - foilar feed with liquid karma than watered with sweet, hormex, silica, grow, microbrew, liquid karma (all minimal recomened dose or even less)

day 9 - nothing

day 10 - today

This lockout, tox, or deficency started i think between day 3-4 and it affected new growth day 7-8. I do have quit a bit of new growth since im sure the clones when they were potted still didnt have roots and most of them probably rooted like 4 days ago maybe (vived new growth)

So my question is should i flush them all with 2 gallons of water per 1 gallon pots, if i should, should i add a leecheing agent like clerax or final phase?

What are your guy's thoughts on this ?

BTW my soil mix is

2parts of roots organics potting soil
1part roots organics soilles mix
.5 EWC
for every 60 parts, 1 parts azomite meal and 1 part kelp meal

My temps been around 75-77 during day and 68-72 during night
Im vegging under a 1000w mh

The plant that has the yellow t out of zipties is the replacment clone for the one that dies and the one with just the yellow ziptie is the one that has been strugguling hard

Thanks for any help

:watchplant:When in doubt, flush. A flushing will almost never hurt, but too much nute can! Seems your using alot of nutes for the clone stage. Nitrogen will actually inhibit root growth. Snip dead leaf tips to prevent rot, flush, then wait, they look like they will recover just fine.

Sounds like you're brewing a toxic sludge! :puke:

I would definitely flush and then wait for the pots to almost dry out before watering again with plain water.

See how that goes.

thats a hell of alot of nutes / sprays for cuts of that age

flush em quarentine em and sort other problems out once there well rooted

Flush flush flush, use plain water ,try get a decent amount of humidity round them and indirect light,we dont want them transpiring and drying out do we?

I believe you should only start feeding properly after you have seen them take, foliar spray for now get some jars over them.

I hope this helps

Thanks guys for the input ! Ive been bubbling 12 gallons of water with a littlebit of clearax since last night, tonight ill adjust it to 6.5 ph and flush them

After they dry out from flush should i just water with ph water and liquid karma till they get healthy again with healthy new growth ?

Thanks one more time guys !

pompey monkey - yup, since they were taken from the mother

i guess i got to exited when i saw the N def in my lower fan leafs and new growth the 3 day i had them, i defenitly wont do that my next grow and just wait patiently :)

You should check your run-off!!!!! I think your PH is way too high. Check the ppm's and ph of the run-off and that will tell you whats going on. I still believe you should get your ph down to 6ish if your in soil. @ 6.7 your plant can not get what your giving them. From your pics it looks like you have lock-out from ph problems. Get it flushed and get your ph in check, then feed them 1/2 strength and watch them get healthy within a week!

Dont let them dry out too much flush to get plenty run off,its almost as if you are trying to leach the media, let it sit for a day, maybe two, if its still moist doesn't matter there are no nutes now to feed the little ladies,so I suggest a lighter solution to begin with when your plant respond a little kick the nutes up a little and so on, My best teacher since i have been growing has been my plants, they literally ask for certain food like a spoilt 5 year old.

Try a little foliar feeding as well just after you flush, this way the flush still works for your plants insides and any lacking nutes will be fed through the leaves :)

I hope those puppies are doing better.

Thanks a lot for the great advices so far man, really helpful !

So last night i only had time to flush one plant (ended up beeing 3 gallons and it took me 2h to do it gently) and the result was a shock !

First run off was 6.1ph and 2000+ ppm (my meter only goes to 2000), that number dropped after a gallon to 6.4ph and 1078ppm

Final flush was around 6.7ph and 242 ppm so fairly close i assume

But i found another problem. I think my problem wasn't a nut burn but my soil was wwwaaaayyyy to hot. I put some of my soil mix into an empty pot and leached it to see the results and the first run off water measured 5.7ph and again 2000+ ppm

now i remember i put some soil sulpher to drop my soil ph cause it was too high when i first mixed it and than i put in to much so i added a little bit of dolomite lime till i read 6.5. But now when i read more, dolomite lime takes months to dissolve so i think when i flushed my dirt last night it might of dissolved some of it and that's why my ph raised.

How to fix that and get a stable soil ph?

What should i do about my soil ppm ?

InNvBoarder - Every time i read something about soil/solution ph for soil its recommended to be at 6.5 and it said to better be higher if lower ?

Thanks for the great ideas and thoughts ! Hopefully there is a way to fix my soil

Ok so ive read alot about dirt lately and yes the ph can be higher 6.5 is ok no worries. I would just always water with the same ph all the time and let the soil stabalize itself. As for the soil ppms Damn that sucks no wonder those babies look like shit thats way to high. If you flush your medium rite you can get the ppms down before you plant anything into it! Thats a pain in the ass though, maybe look into getting a new dirt thats not so hott! Some day you should try coco, it rocks!!!! Im sure you will see some good new growth now that those babies arent cooking. When you water with nutes only go 1/2 strength and you will be good to go.
