Do all you guys that have massive doses of thc every day have major memory problems?I'm a heavy daily type, but I'm having problems with my memory, now it could be the 8 concussions over my life time.I was curious if the ones that didn't have concussions have memory problems?

Yes, I have pretty serious issues with my short term memory when I am using heavy amounts of concentrates or flowers on a regular basis. I have no prior concussions or other head trauma or brain injury.

My girlfriend makes jokes about it all the time but I can tell it really bothers her sometimes. I don't particularly like not being able to remember conversations or details so when it gets to be like that for me, I just take a break. I'm in a business where I need to be able to remember even the most minute details about clients, properties, etc. and it can be detrimental to my bottom line if I'm in a fog all the time...that's why I don't smoke during the day, as I don't seem to have trouble with forgetting things if I was not high at the time that I was doing them.

As with anything else, moderation is key, but if you're using cannabis for chronic pain or anything else that requires frequent dosing throughout the day, maybe consider looking for strains higher in CBD? I don't have any science to back that suggestion up, so please don't quote me on it, but it might be worth a shot to see if the less intoxicating cultivars might be less damaging to short term memory than the high THC varieties.

Do you exercise your brain? Reading, puzzles, games, projects etc can sharpen your mind considerably. My job consists of a lot of problem solving and math and I never smoke at work so I give my brain a good work out almost daily. But I think some people are just not meant to be potheads. If weed makes you dumb as a bag of rocks then maybe weed isn't for you.

I use daily & i have moderate memory loss.. I remember the important ones but sometimes i forget random stuff.. But i guess dats a good thing lol.. I dnt lose memory, i always remember but off hand questions makes me think.. If that makes any sense lol

Exercise and cod liver oil usually blast away the cobwebs for me. Memory is a little more elastic than normal, but works well enough.

The good thing about being forgetful, is peeps see you as an old fool,
I like that because the alternative is worse than death itself,
and besides most of what I can't remember is a good thing,
or at least it is for me ....lol

I smoke almost constantly, morning to night. I have no job to get in the way. I also remember things better than my spouse, who does not smoke.
I have had at least one concussion.

constantly smoking, no problem with day to day memory in any way, as sharp or sharper in most cases. My problem is things im not interested in, I forget them like fucking crazy. Tell me something boring and I will absolutely forget it most of the time. I think that might be why cannabis helps me, I get all happy and smiley and I don't realize im not interested in something and listen carefully anyway.

Also movies, I tend to just pretty much forget them instantly if they aren't something super attention grabbing and interesting.

As far as cannabis goes, obviously it is going to be on a case by case basis, but it shouldn't make you stupid. If it does, might not be a good thing to have in your life. Everyone's brain reacts to it differently, and there is no shame at all in saying something isn't good for you personally.

Coscience is a sort of lens through which we see the world, and the narrowing of his visual field makes more vivid everything which is left perceivable. Memory is enemy to amazement, which depends on forgetting, a subtractive activity.

Somewhere I read that and I took note...
But I don't remember where....

The way the doctor explained it to me, is that your brain can only hold so much information..Sort of like a hard drive..

So, once your brain is "full", You have to let something else be "deleted", or forgotten, before you can remember something new...

If all the stuff in your head is important, and you can't afford to "delete" any of it, you won't be able to remember any of the new stuff...

Smoking daily for the last 20 years over half my whole life. Prolly get high 10 to 15 times a day... short term is off when im not focused. Focused im sharper and quicker than most. I work high end construction. Not braggin but top end construction. Im a do whatever the fuck I wanna do cause im so good at what I do. I dont push my luck but if im tired im gonna relax and noones gonna say shit... although I always produce tired or not. Pot helps me relax and ease my mind.... its not your memory its your focus...

i find that culture puts unreasonable expectations on human beings.. someone used to say "my mother has terrible parkinsons" and she's in her 90's telling me a story about something that happened 60 years ago. couldn't remember names or places or things that didn't matter but told the story just fine.

I notice a definite effect on memory and mathematical skills when I get high every day. I do better as a software engineer when I only get high on the weekends. Getting high every day doesn't make me stupid; it just makes me mediocre at my job when I should be doing better.

Sometimes I wish I had chosen a different career so I could be high all day every day. Being high never stopped me from doing a good job with my plants. I wouldn't have a problem getting high all the time if I was a professional grower.

That "doctor" doesn't know much about the human brain. It has no known capacity, sans Kelly Bundy.

i found sats like durban brilliant for development, no drag, pure mental calm clarity and focus to pull off 14 hour days where you get up to pee twice. maybe it's the thc-v.

i love trying to code with real mnemonic impediments.. super slow, but unless i get so wasted that i crap the document, it's super reliable code.. i love feeling the clunk, damn, can't remember a thing, have to look at it *again* feeling.. lets me know i'm stoned. more fun than a rollercoaster.

It's funny because I smoke about an oz a week and my memory gets sharp when i smoke. Even the heaviest indica tend to make my mind explore every aspect in my life. I had memory problems when I first started years ago but the human body adapts pretty well. Same goes to tolerance, when I take a brake from smoking I get really high the first 2-3 smokes, then it's back to normal.
