Blue Dog, 63 days last night.

This is the purplest nug on the plant, she will prob turn more since I took her out of the flower tent to shock ripen for a few days. It will be much cooler outside the tent.

Gonna nickname her Purple Nurple Dog lol.

Smells grapey with an awful Chemdog stink in the background.

I also chopped the King Bubba this morning at 64 days, smelled like a sweet bubblegum but also had a stink smell in the back of it if that makes sense.

YESSS!! 10/10. you dont know how much i was hoping she turn Blue/Purple... yes she will darken up some more and yep taking her into the cold will help...

So my understanding in the lines of breeding, isnt the first strain in the name of the cross the dominant one?

Its also the female? Like when you create an F1 for example, Parents are Sour Diesel x Stardawg.. Sour Diesel would be first dominant and the female...The 1st Gen of babies/seedlings which is F1 is going to have 3/4 Sour diesel dominant phenos and 1/4 Stardawg phenos? Then the F2s are going to be more around 50% SD and 50% Stardawg Dominants?

if we look at mendels law we see that one is dominant and one parent rececive, BUT his tests were done with homozygous lines.. in our case it makes it a lot more complicated...
so for example if Sour Diesels bud structure is dominant, all F1 siblings will have that bud structure
Isnt that why if Breeders are releasing "some" new testers or special/limited release. Alot of the times its the F2 generation because of the variation in phenotypes? Theyre letting people get the genetics before more breeding/selection is done which is isolating specific traits/bottlenecking genetics.

yeah F2 will have more variation for sure...
once the breeder takes it to F4-5 certain traits are locked down and we can speak of a worked line... F7 will be homozygous
So when they decide to finally release the final seeds/generation, there wont be much variation in phenos when A bunch of seeds are popped? Since people usually want the same traits/phenos they saw in the pictures from the breeder?

Sorry.Maimunji it doesnt really answer your question lol. I kinda answered it with another question actually. I just wanted to make sure I understood some of the things I learned correctly.

SFV 2.0 is a bx, dont know what they used to make the bx..but SFV is clone only?!
but then from those a male was used to make the Amherst Sour Diesel x SFV2.0 F1´s.. those are the ones i received the very first time i started working with HSO
