Tip's & Tricks for ACE Sativa Plants indoors

C

Collembola

hello,

i only have a 250w HID but 11/13 = (i think (?))

less yield, shorter flowering, *more phenotype expression

for indicas it is apparently not worth it from a yield perspective - (also northen india etc region (north of the equator) daylight length is different / more cultivated by man (?))

(less calyxs ("yield") = increased taste of "rope" if smoking floral clusters also here (vs. more yield, same potency on 12/12 i think (?))

for sativas though, i think they benefit from the extra hour of rest,
guessing because indoor environments like mine are so "poor" (vs equatiorial sun) they need more time to process things.

- like 12/12 i note wider leaves and and more robust stems (IIRC)

- but 11/13 - finer more elongated leaves (more natural looking for sativa, no ?)

SO:

genetics riddle - "why more sativa leaves - with less light ?!"

:tiphat:

---------------

i have been doing 18/6 MH veg (i like to ""save" electricity" here although i read 20/4 is best for abundant vegetitive growth (?)) > 11/13 MH stretch (less stretch then HPS (?) > 11/13 HPS flower (more lumens / increased flower production (??)), then back to MH at the end (for terpenes *etc).

plants seem to much prefer MH for their own general growing purposes at least at wattages of 250 and under IMHE.

also UV (or as "violet" "blue" as you can get (hence using MH at the end of flowing) *psychoactivity

(**assuming that is why we are all trying to grow sativas right ?!)

hehe

YES YES YES that's what i try next grow with vertical circle sog (VCSOG) 600w/400v HPS + 400w MH

be careful with PK booster till the end of flowering...plants will not finish and start over...

GT 2 got organic PK booster to late... starting over...

The reason I use 10.5 in the last weeks is that I have found some sativas just keep growing and flowering under 12/12 and never seem to finish. i feel it pushes the plant into terminating growth and concentrate on flower only. By the time your into the last 3 weeks yield doesn't seem too important. More import is getting the buds to mature on the plant.

My micro Zamaldelica by Ace, first release:

Coco hempy, GH 6/9, vegged a few weeks and flowered 11/13 for 110 days. It got
bigger as time went by, unsure of age of plant in pic.

That's a 16oz cup.

rutiger/waltgeist did notable sogs with the Zamaldelica, there are threads to see.

Interesting thread! How do you prefer to train? I am doing some Haze Testers and I started them under 13/11 lighting and now at 3-4 nodes I cut it to 12 1/2on 11 1/2 off. I plan on topping once here very soon. They are currently on 16oz Hempy's and will be moving up to 2 liters or 1 gallon Hempys as soon as sex shows. Hoping they will be just about recovered from the topping at that time?

I start my indica and sativas the same.
They start 24 h light, in soil that I use again and again, cos it has all nice myko and old roots and all nice stuff.
I usually don't use much nutrients for sativas.Unless they grow fast and big. Then they need some support more.
I prefere to grow sativas at summer, under natural light, they perform better. And when they go to bloom, its 11/13 h.
10 l buckets.

Don't be afraid of a good long veg too. Go with the 'nugbuckets' "mainlining " technique and monsters will be had. 300g from my 1 Malawi. Lovely.
Also, I've heard everyone just sending me all of their Ace harvests definitely helps :)

This is an old pic of some Zamaldelica, my carrot mango pheno.

I also have a straight up pineapple pheno of the Zamaldelica.

Both were had from a five pack freebee of the original release.

Hi I have a question for anyone qualified to answer this,

I can see vostok is banned but he said,

"adapt the plant to your local growing climate, by breeding her out 2-3 generations, and expect some loss in quality each time"

I really want to grow old timers haze but indoors and I know for a tropical there's gonna be issues.

So, the question(s) is, is there any truth to vostok's quote and will it be worth growing old timers haze indoors? I won't mind the bag appeal, just want that old skool haze high!

TIA
PD

It will be fine indoors. Dubi says it's a low yield but if it's just for personal that should be fine.
Other growers have had success with it indoors. Have a search for grow reports here.
