Pri Pri is südafrika Chicken style is on fire net mal in Berlin findest du sowas.

Some general advice:
- go to where climate and prices agrees with you: i find the Mediterranean side much more easy to cope with than the atlantic side. Catalunya is pretty great, along with north of spain. Madrid and Barcelona has become fantasticly expensive in comparison to wages, but outside in smaller villages maybe an hour or so away from the metropolitan area theres cheaper and better living, but not much work if you need local and not online work.
- get around to learn Spanish, there really isnt any other way to get around it. There are some ways of living only in English but it wont be the most economic areas and generally with hot costal climate.
- the first couple of administrative business to deal with is empadronamiento - officially writing yourself as staying at a certain adress, and NIE number: official personal identification number. You can do this in person and get the frustrated biggly, i would suggest getting a lawyer to do it for you. If i were to explain why you may lose your motivation to go to Spain, its a mess, get a pro unless your deep into the country side were bureaucracy works different. Infact id probably encourage smaller village life over most large cities.
- renting an apartment: this maybe both very difficult if you dont have work, or easier if you find the right landlord. Everybody renting in Spain is afraid of getting someone who stopps paying rent and just squats forever, legal proceedings for getting rid of squatters is exceedingly difficult. Trying for short term, less than 11 months, rent to start with could be your best option.

Also note that getting caught with smoking in the streets is a minimum 1000 up to 10000 euros offence. But its also not very common. With regards to police its a weird thing: its both very strict and very lax; they really dont mind you smoking and growing a bit outside of public view and dont really want to spend effort on policing that. But as soon as it is into view, or youre involved with dodgy people or for some reason seen as respectless to general public and police or powers at be in general they are very happy to drop the book on you. I got caught for the first time a few years ago, treated the cops very nicely, only had a few grams on me and confessed how stupid it was to smoke in a busy square and that i should have known better: no fine turned up. My friend was less lucky but he had a few times before which must have been noted somewhere: he got 1000e for a joints worth.

I think its a case of police "speak softly but carry a big stick" - under normal conditions they much more prefer to speak softly but start getting mouthy or try to do antlything like those "auditors" do on US youtube - and you will get a quite unpleasant treatment. I have a friend who grows and sells on a small scale in a small place- local police has told him under the table that they know about him and they dont really mind and wont do anything about it. But i think its down to him having very good local ties, and having made very good decisions about who not to associate with, never get close to any gangsters or organisations. My other grower friends can be very private and paranoid about their grows but its not really fear of the police, its about fear of gangsters finding their location and getting robbed. Its a very real threat with some extremely unsavoury people involved and really bad situations....If you play you cards right police is the least you should worry about but play it wrong and you soon realise that the laws in Spain are sometimes very horrible. I suggest anyone have a look at ley mordaza / gag law - horrible law that time after time has been promised to be removed but still there it is...

RocketSoul dropping useful information as usual. :good:
As a foreigner it is the best to learn the language of the country. Doesn't have to be perfect but good enough to have a conversation. It's very appreciated and can open some doors and you have more possibilities when looking for a job.
Also be prepared to earn less than in germany.
This thread also has some useful information.

Its also very useful to become part of local life, as soon as you embed yourself as part of the locals rather than an outsider everything becomes much easier.
The best thing tbh is to bring a work from home situation from you country of origin but then be prepared for it before you go: you need to have a way to get taxed in Spain if youre working for a company in another country.

Since you are in the EU, the job center will help you move, as you are entitled to unemployment benefit for 3 months. There are a lot of English people in Granada. You have to decide for yourself how much money you need, it depends on your needs and without a work contract it is difficult to get an apartment! Good luck with your plan!
unemployment benefit: from germany or spain? Fully agree on work contract for flat, but there are a lot of non traditional renters aswell where you may have luck. But in general no proof of income and you need about 6 months to move in. Also many times you must expect one month of agency fees for the contract.
Are you also in Spain?
