hey boo, I just checked it out.
$54 for the 120v and $58 for the 240v
for that price you can get an intermatic at lowes or HD

You can't. That was my point above, the manufacturer isn't even giving a specification for inductive/capacitive/hp loads, so you don't have any idea what the device is capable of. The normal rating is for resistive loads, like a heating element, and is totally meaningless for the other types of loads.

Rives is correct, if there is no specification, they did NOT load test the device and it should not be used at all for that type of load

I run a hydrofarm digital 7 day timer I got for 20 bucks. It has a 1750 watt rating and I plan on running it on the 1000 I will order when its time to complete the flowering room and one of the 2 600's I already have.

bought 2 of those hydrofarm timers. neither lasted a year. 1 would slowly lose time other stopped working. Ill never buy a digital timer ever again.

Thanks for the info imnotcrazy.

I always thought it was crazy to use those cheap plastic timers but I never knew why until now. how many stories do you have to hear of those melting before you stop using them.

my Intermatic's trippers come loose like every 4-6 weeks . I've tried tightening them with pliers and checking them often. but that didn't work. I only use them in veg now. I love relay-contactors.

but you know what they say, if you want a job done right do it yourself. even if my lights are on a timer or relay I generally manually operate them now. I set my alarm on my phone to remind me. I turn them on and off when they're supposed to be turned on and off and that way I know it is done right.
