timer off by 4 min. per day?

Hi all, on my second day of flower and noticed that the free timer included with my ebay grow light is off by 4 minutes per day. Wondering if I could just set it back every few days or just replace. Is this commonplace on timers? The ones for my aquarium lighting are spot on.

I would guess you can set it back every few days, with no harm done on your plants... it is only 4 minutes, sometimes I delay the light a little to switch a bulb or somethiing matienece-related....

The only question is do you mind changing it? After a while it is going to be a bitch. Not to mention if your resetting it all teh time it kind of defeats the purpose of a 'timer' in the first place, ya know what I mean?

you have too much time on your hands if you are worrying about 4 mins. Forget it.

Got a similar issue here, not a big problem, but just enough to bug me. And the power keeps going off every time I think I have it worked out, hehe. It may be relative to position on these models, my problem timer worked fine when it was plugged into the wall, but now, laying down on a strip it is having time burps. Maybe I should lay down.

i agree that 4mins are nothing to worry about. had one that was off by 15mins, w/ that much diff it had to be adjusted reg til could replace. 4min, kinda like the "time burp" the sun does.

I wouldnt worry about it, but I did hear petsmart sells a decent cheap digital timer so I am going to check that out today, I have had two $5 timers die on me already!
