Hey epic, I really dig your grow. I was wondering if you could recommend and reads on soil. Ive been reading through forums so far which is helpful but theres a lot of contradicting info and bs mixed in. I have a lot of questions and I think the best way to answer them is to do the research...just wondering where did you learn about soil & mixes etc.

Any info would be helpful to me man I don't have a lot of time these days so Im trying to make my research time count.

Thanks! Pretty much self taught with a lot of help from other growers. I have only read a few chapters from "teaming with microbes" and "teaming with nutrients," but I imagine Ill dig in a little deeper in the off season.

i would freak out if all my shit was out in the sun like that! maybe i'm paranoid but i heard that weed/cannabinoids are negatively affected by exposure to light after harvest. ask my partners, i'm hella OCD about keeping the drying rooms dark and making sure the trimmers never put buds in direct sunlight. altho i guess you might have an issue with space considering how much you probably pulled

Id say the buds are in sunlight for about five minutes before they get hung . Seems to me that if they can grow in full sun, then they probably can hang for a sec in full sun as long as they don't start wilting.

Its a little ghetto, but its the only way I know to handle that much that quick. Did the same last year, and the SC lab report came back 30.4% THC the first time, and than 29.5 the second time.

Thanks man, its been a little nuts. After filling the first few garages i opened a beer in celebration just in time to watch the whole thing collapse. Hence the use of ratchet tie downs for support until we could get some longer kickers installed. It made for a quick scramble and a good laugh.

sounds like a 3 stooges scene. I love it.
I totally dig your drying rooms. and you gave me an idea...so I turned my tent into my dry closet and it works a charm! Because of my high humidity living in the the Puget Sound its so hard to dry my meds. But having them hang on my scrog screen in the tent with just my Exhaust on and a small oscilating fan on., its like a vacuum seal suction zone....and my humidity is at 45%!!!!! my SLH and Cindy 99 dried so fantastically people were super impressed and that made me feel real good!
WOW 30% THC is mind blowing. that is really impressive. off the charts groovy!!

Are you turning those skeleton metal greenhouses into growing rooms this winter season? and how much rot and mold did you have to throw out this past season?

Thanks Dat! We grew some huge plants this year, but theres always someone else growing bigger better plants. We lost a good bit to mold, but its a little too early to tell. Still managed to pull down an epic harvest, all be it a little humbling.

My county just banned outdoor growing, so Ill be moving on to oregon this year. Sad to leave all that I've built, but I'm also excited to move into a new more progressive state.

So Ive quarantined my mother plants inside until I can be sure they arent infected with russet mites. They were looking pretty great , then about 10 days ago I noticed the leaf curl. Its a very simple 2x600watt garage that gets very cold right now. I'm about to throw up some gavidas, but I'm worried the leaf curl is from russets. Im guessing its a combination of spraying Einstein oil neem with pyganic and overall cold temps.

I'm going to get a 300X scope so i can unt for bugs, but I was wondering if anyone has had a similar issue with cold temps and spraying.

Overall the growth and color looks fine, which leads me away from a russet mite infestation.

Hey, would you turn it all into hash or are the buds too valuable? There's another thread where someone was contemplating the idea, but his bros weren't sure if it would be a good idea. Anyways, it got me to thinking whether I should and any suggestions would be appreciated.
