Funny how I can have a row of Dreams on their death bed, and these little girl scouts are absolutely raging!!!! Probably my favorite strain to smoke. Happy and uplifting!!
Hope my fellow growers are able to keep up a positive outlook during this emotional roller coaster we call harvest time. Eventually those perfect glistening trichomes we strive to produce are gonna bring change to this country. Walk tall, carry a big stalk, and lets get this beautiful land back on track!

Looking killer man! Nice to see someone let a plant finish for a change. So many people chop 2-3 weeks early it seams.
I was thinking the same thing. I didn't start flower until 8-10 but all my plants still have another week to 5 weeks to go.
That GSC looks about as filled in as I have seen. With how dense the nugs are that might actually give a proper yield. Good job.

Well i started hearing rumors of the russet mite early on in the season.
My plants were extremely healthy so I wasn't too concerned. Then all of a sudden every plant started showing leaf curl and premature yellowing beginning with the tops. The colas are half the size of last years, hairs turned red a month ago, and a few plants aren't even worthy of a nug run concentrate.
Whats interesting is its only happening to blue dreams, and a couple BBxNL that were adjacent to a sick and dying plant.
I went and looked at 3 different gardens running the same cut of dream, and everyone is having the same problems. Not only do we all run different nutes, soil, and water, but these gardens are miles apart.
Below you can see a super healthy row of GSC next to a row of the walking dead BD.
Did all 3 gardens get the BD from the same source this spring?
Or are they out of diff mom rooms>?

They all were cut from my greenhouse in march. The plants the y cut from performed flawlessly in the spring. Seems as if this bug or disease takes a couple months to take hold before you start to see the effects.
Interesting. Im looking at an offer to run a garden next year. The only problem is this guy has been dealing with broads or russets the past couple years and his yields were dismal.
I need to read up on this problem to see if I can attack the soil in the winter with a IPM agenda, then in the spring, and through out the summer ect. lol

holy shit man. talk about some sleepless nights. Out of my 54 plants, 29 were BD. I water them
differently Than the front two rows of mixed early finishers and a few odd balls. If I put the blues on a heavy schedule (40 gal daily, for 400 gal pots) and do it Every day, they get way out of wack and dont seem to like it. While the others just chug chug chug.

@epicorchard trip, my blue dreams (santa cruz cut) now look exactly like that... early yellowing starting on the top and colas that are half the size as they were years back. I attribute it to my effed up soil though. I thought I was able to correct all the imbalances with foliar treatments so that from mid july until the 1st-2nd week of september they looked like beasts.. and then the trouble started. Do you really think it's possible that the gsc right next to your ailing bds wouldn't show any damage if it were russett mites? Incidentally I have five gsc plants in my garden too... 4 out of five also did the same as the bd in their own way. Did you ever have a soil paste test done from logan labs..? Have you considered the possibility of root rot? Ime, BD drinks less than other plants. Just trying to get some more clarity..

It could be a whole bunch of things, but It has definitely been strain dependent. My dreams in 200 gal smarties in 707 soil did the same thing and they are a good 45 min drive over the hill. Different, dirt, water, amendments, and nutrients.
But since I haven't the time for lab tests right now, and most of my plant are thriving, its all just personal speculation. Also every grower in my region is experiencing the same problems. So I feel like theres something weird a foot.
will you grow blue dream again, if so how will you avoid those problems? If not, would you still consider growing a strain that has Blue Dream in it? your GSC looks nice. You should try some Bodhi gear, all his seeds did great for us this year.
We had a few plants (all of them clones) do funky stuff this year tho. Next year gonna use new soil and fresh seed starts.

Ill go get a new cut of dream for next year. I'm going to try a lot of new stuff out this winter, but ill need some BD for the patients who love it. What bodhi seeds did you find most interesting?
Blue Chemdog should be pretty nice.
blue dream makes some cool hybrids when crossed imho

40 gallons on water days, then 60 gallons twice a week with nutes.
