I have to give it to you, you are very correct. I have no experience personally with the HID and my estimates and funding involved are way off.

BUT DrBud had been growing for 20 YEARS before attempting to grow in such a confined space. He knows what the buds like the way he knows what his balls like.

All I'm saying is I don't recommend going all out in this fashion as a newbie. I did it, and I think I could have done something better with my time and energy. Its about as productive as sitting on IC mag forums all day.

Play with HID and making it stealth and then come back and say CFLs are not where noobs should start.

I'm a medical user and I medicate 24/7. 220w of the CFLs I use produce plenty of meds for me and there's lots of room for me to improve my yield without even thinking about changing or adding lights.

Stop posting about stuff you don't have experience with.

Edit: Your posting jab is lame. Plenty of folks are glad I'm injured and spend my time at home. It's great to be able to help out the cannabis community by posting helpful advice on the boards. Where did YOU learn to grow, osmosis?

Also if close to a pound is enough for you in a 8week cycle I'm sorry you have to be so greedy. Watch this summer when I get my Air Pots, I argued with my boy all morning about what can be done with what. I like DrBud KNOW what my strain does so I know if I pull 1/2 oz plants in 20oz bottles of coco I'm sure a 1liter Air Pot is going to blow that out the water!!! I'm going to fill my cab up with 16 Air Pots when I get my other CFL cab going for my SOG and you can see my NOOB DREAM RUINING ASS pull pounds from 252w of CFLs cuz I don't need to play with a room of HID lights which by the way I still don't want ...

i don't see whats up with all the personal attacks man, each way of growing has its own utility and if you can't respect that then you are the douche. I grow under hid but i still enjoy this thread and the awesome grow that thundurkel has. i have used cfl's and personally prefer a bigger space with hid's. Every method has its benefit man, you just gotta respect that and find the best way for YOU and not have to go on like its the best method ever. Give respect to get respect and you probably don't get any even from your friends. Id say stay out of this thread with your damn negativity and let us enjoy Mr. Thundurkels pics in peace man.

Hydro Soil as far as that goes I haven't really documented anything unless it's on here but I am going to take down detailed notes on my grows this summer.. I can say Fox Farm had my strains smelling ALOT sweeter than Flora Nova so I'm going to do a side by side in coco. Thinking of doing different nutes on each of the 4 plants in my next new row I pop in so we'll see whats best. I have Fox Farm Tiger Bloom and Big Bloom, Flora Nova Grow n Bloom w Floralicious Plus and the Vegan Tea, then I have Cutting Edge Solutions 3 part Micro 6-0-0 Bloom 0-6-5 Grow 2-1-6 and the Mag Amp, Plant Amp and Uncle Johns Blend 0-0-2 and I'm waiting on Oneness and Ginormous from Humboldt Nutrients! Got alot of stuff to play with and find out whats best in coco

The little hydro project ended up with 2 plants and I took em to 7 weeks and needed smoke and room in my secondary flower chamber so I scrapped the project... I may fuck around with a bigger res size and try again after I'm fully perpetual cuz that's what I plan to use that side for is test grows or I was thinking of doing SCROGs in it with a 5.5" square pot of coco until I get some Air Pots which I can't wait to play around with!!!

Thanks bro I feel I was meant to do all of this as I believe everything happens for a reason and I wasn't even thinking of growing!!!! Then my Mom comes home after getting some pot from my buddy and she gives me 2 Big Bud clones!!! It was all over from that day on, cuz that's when I started looking around for what to do with my babies and I found a few people using CFLs . That shit inspired me SO much, it was Kamel's CFL Guide first then I found DrBud and was like " holly shit this is the setup I've been wanting to do for a long time any way and it's with CFLs and Gatorade bottles!" I used to have a High Times with this closet grow that was on a 2 week perpetual cycle under Fluoro Tubes and the grower had these 3"-4" deep trays and he filled em with the nutrient solution and a air stone kept the water circulating and had 6 plants to a tray that grew solid buds that weighed 4g-8g if I remember correct and dude was getting a ounce every 2 weeks and I had always been wanting to do that setup. But now I'm doing even better and I'm not even dialed in yet!! This summer has lots of good things to come...

Hey Thunk, sorry If I missed it in the thread, but I want to know more about your idea for air pots. We've learned from drbud style that the best way to get the most yield per time in our micro areas is high dense sog. The soil medium is the next bottle neck to remove, but we've got to do it in a way to keep the plant numbers up.
