THSeeds Bubblegum

THSeeds "Bubblegum"

*walks in.... picks up one of Smokey's new "Smoke Report Form".... notices that its a blank page... with no directions....* huh? okies... well, maybe we can just "wing it" on this one....

Bear with me here... am a bit buzzed right now on some tasty Bubblegum. Ha ha ha... and one of the reasons I enjoy a bubblegum buzz..... is that almost everything makes me laugh. A very first class high... quite euphoric, with an overall "comfortable feeling".

THSeeds version is an easy grow, with a fat yeild and a nice 60 day flower time. The structure is rather "open" for an indica, so lots of light and air get to the buds. Its everything that the seed breeder claims it to be...

The taste is a bit more "menthol" than Bog's Bogbubble, but still has that sweet bubblegum flavor including the rather fuzzy finish to the taste... you know... remember that white powdery stuff that coated pink bubblegum one chewed as a child? ... yeah, thats what I refer to as "fuzzy".... *shrugs*
(on a taste scale... would have to say that I find Bog's to be a bit more to my likes)

First time I ever got truly high... I remember laughing and laughing for hours.
Guess thats why I kept getting high... trying to replicate that first experience
... its true when its said "you can't go back..", but the whole bubblegum experience is close to that...

the initial hits leave me focused on the flavor... then the euphoria comes on with the first wave of "rushes"... about the third hit... when you start to think "hey... this isnt all that potent..." the laughing begins, and you know that you are loaded. A big plus is... if you dont smoke too much of it... you can go to a party, have conversations with strangers and such... and as long as you need not appear to be very bright... well, you'll have fun even at the dullest affair. *smiles* In other words... its a good buzz to take with you on a first date.. (even if he is a bore... he'll believe that you find him to be most engaging and funny *winks*).

Overall, this is class A Marijuana. Has great bag appeal... nice fat buds, with large trichs ... people like the look of it... the smell is sweet, taste is 5 star... and has a great buzz. Does have "couchlock" to it.. so keep it down to 5 or so hits if you are headed out to play... otherwise, you might as well get the daybed ready, as you'll be flat on your back watching funny movies.
*smiles*

*NOTE* In keeping with the "new form"... I am a stoner. more than 10,000 days of almost 24/7. I smoke excellent pot... am extremely sensitive to ferts left over, so only give my babies pure water for the last three weeks of their short lives. Friends almost always comment on how "smooth and clean" my pot tastes. okies? *waves bye* Akiko

Wow!!

Wow!!

That's one of the absolute best smoke reports I've ever read. I was mesmerized the whole way. You made me want to run out and order Thseeds Bubblegum today, and grow it right away. You've also captured my spirit entirely.

Oh and that thread reads "The new smoke report 'forum". And then I explaned that there is no form. You did the right 'form'. You've really helped me out Thanks so much, Smokey.

ahhhhhhh... is that Double Bubble or Bazooka Bubblegum?

Thanks for the engaging report... it makes me want to grow some. WAIT!!! I am growing some... I have two very nice gifted clones that are veggin' up as we speak.

How do you grow and did you find a keeper?

Akiko... I love your reports... thanks for taking the time to share them.

ROFLMfAO... That was great!!! Now with that kinda report, I feel we know what the strain is all about, and what one can expect if grown! Very good!

Thanx!!!

wow! Hey, thanks everybody...

uhhh, yeppers... well I grow mostly soil, organic. My soil mix does include about 30% coco, and 15% worm castings. For yeild have run the bubblegums as "passive hydro", coco and growrock @ 50/50, using Earth Juice (the formula on the bottle for hydro @ about 75% of the recommended strength).

As for finding a "keeper"... it was easy with the TH stuff... it is a very stable strain, and didn't find much difference between them.

pseudochile> ha ha ha... you like "okies"? (most of my friends have given up trying to get me to stop with the "okies" hee hee hee). And yes, my mother was 100% pure Japanese, father part Irish and Mexican. Didn't get any F1 "hybrid vigor" tho... am very short. *grins*

Thanks again to all for your very kind comments and positive vibes. *waves bye* Akiko

Who What
Just tagging. Yeh, the genetics sound solid - OG reports refer to uniform growth and size - so it may be near IBL which is good for home breeding. The OG strainguide has it a a big yielder.

in soil, you used only pure water for the last 3 weeks?
why a 3 week period, i see most only doing 2.. ? Do you find that the plants struggle with that extra week of no ferts?

oh btw, great report!

 Good report, Toltec!... I'd be interested in more of your routine... 3 weeks water you say?... do you notice differences in brands... or mineral versus organic?... i'd be pleased to hear your take on that...

I like this report even more then the Bottlerocket one, and that one was great. If I may comment on the flushing questions, I have never had any of my past plants struggle by having an extra week (3 week flush) or even 2 (4 week flush). Instead they just use up the rest of the nutrients stored in their systems, which if not used up 100% before chop, you will taste and it can be seen in the ash. A 3 week flush will usually burn up to a pure white ash, with no easliy seen grey ash, and also give much better taste; because you wont have the flavour of the nutes wrecking the taste of the bud.

in akikos report, seemed to say that he prefered bogs offerin over this one. so im thinkin hes grown both.

"But I'd also like to know who has the best bubblegum?
THSeeds, Serious, BOG or White Label"

Bogs is WL, worked for quite some time, selectin the best plants to be found. THSeeds is supposed to be the original. as long as Bog has been workin his line, I dont think you could go wrong.

As far as strains go, don't forget Nirvana's Bubblicious. $15USD for F2's that are, from all accounts, very nice plants.

Can anyone who's tried both THSeeds Bubblegum and Bogbubble compare the two? I'm growing bogbubble now (about 2-3 weeks away from chop) but I've always been interested in THSeeds bubblegum. Can anyone give me any insight on the two? thanks

I've had the pleasure to give both Bogbubble and THseeds OBG a run through. IMHO, it is no contest between the two, THSeeds wins hands down. This isn't to say the Bog is lacking positive attributes, but the TH bests it.

For starters, the Bog isn't nearly as stable as the TH. OBG is almost supernaturally uniform. To illustrate this, I got 67.5 grams, to the tenth, each, off of two females I grew out under a 250 watt MH in a small closet op.

The Bog is no sloutch, but has issues. My biggest complaint was hermie tendencies. I contacted Bog himself regarding this, and he admitted point blank that Bogbubble has hermie traits. He went on to laud THseeds bubblegum, saying what an excellent strain it is. He didn't have too much to say about the serious offering, but I believe he had positive feelings for it as well, although stating the TH version is the more authentic, from what I recall.

All in all, Bogbubble is a good strain, but you need to grow it out a few times to A: find a good mother, and B: tailour your garden to BB's needs. It does yeild high, and the final product is of a good quality, and it might even have a slight edge in the high department over THSeeds, but the bag appeal isn't nearly as good, the fragrance isnt as nice, and I believe the TH to have the taste in lock.

In all, I've grown a number of strains and keep coming back to THseeds. Its just a pleasure to grow. There are certainly others out there with better features, but they lack this or that. TH OBG is very well balanced, having a heavy yeild, a unique and pleasant high, nice taste, and very good bag appeal (better than that of the BOG IMO). It is an extremely easy one to manage, and I would recommend it highly to those with little experience, although it obviously has allure to the more experienced.

The ideal use for this strain is probably commercial use, on varrying scales. Someone who grows strictly for personal use may find a more unique product in one of the exotic varieties. However, TH is the best strain I've personally dealt with that has everything a commercial grower is looking for = ease of growth, yeild, and high quality. Even the aficionado should have a little BG in his collection.

Here are a few shots of a garden with THSeeds bubblegum clones that just went into flowering two days ago....i should mention at this point that THSeeds bubblegum roots up very easily and fast (+/- week), provided the right conditions are met.

In any case, these two shots depict the layout of the flowering room. There is one very large plant under 1000 watts of MH (vegged for 5 months and heavily trained). Next to it are six clones that were vegged for about four weeks +/- from rooting. They are under 1000 watts of HPS.

Some specs for those interested are as follows: CO2, 1x air-cooled hortilux Coolsun HPS, 1x air-cooled venture Radiant MH, 2x 309cfm inline fans attached to the reflectors, air conditioning, 15 gallon pot for big plant, 5 gallon pots for small plants, moonshine man's soil mix (version 2.0), etc.

After messing with hydro for a time, this grower wanted to return to his organic roots, cheap pun intended. I'm curious to see how TH fairs in soil. By the looks of things thus far, I would say just as well as the 'dro!

Any questions, feel free...

I grew out bogglegum and it did have some hermie issues, but, not too bad. I clipped those bananas mid flower and ended up with a lone seed here and there. So, I think that most worry about hermies too much. I mean unless you are growing a lot of plants and can't pick the bananas off, hermies don't ruin your crop.

They were easy to grow, a couple were a little picky in flower with nutes.

As far as stability, they were all different thats for sure. Varying flavors, densities, stretch (none too much), yields. Some smelled a little piney, while growing. All ended up smelling like bubblegum by the end of the cure. One smelled very strongly of fresh rasperries and bubblegum, one exactly like pink bubblegum (had that powdery light pink bubblegum aroma) , a few like grape, one had a strange very sweet, slightly skunky candy like smell. All yielded very well with a couple of deff keepers. The rasperry one yielded the most with 2.7 in a 3 gallon pot. Bag appeal was great with all, lots of crystals.

I think that all in all the variety was nice to have in the end. Sort of like a variety pack of bubblegum flavors in one pack of seeds!!!! :chin:

Take care
M
