great product

great product

One thing to remember is monteray spray is seriously bad for the lonely little bumble bee, and you should not dump this stuff down the drain when done. It states it's safe the day(s) after aplication, not in it's raw form. Having said that this is the best thing I ever used, knocks them down very fast......:joint:

I foolishly used to keep my presoaked rockwool croutons in a netpot sitting in a bathtub where it could not dry effectively. One time when I picked up the netpot and I noticed dozens of thrips scamper about in the tub (they were underneath the net pot).

I figured out whey those buggers kept coming back. Never had them again. Now I know to keep my netpot where the RW can drain freely off the ground.

I dont think that you need to mix spinosad in the res because it is so effective, I just drenched the media using a spray bottle immediately after a flush (so thristy roots are not uptaking spinosad). May not be worth risking in your rez.

the products with Imidacoplrid kill all the thrips too. After one spraying
Confidor SL 200 is one of them.

Wow, hit the veg cab to start last night, as it had the worst infestation, open it up this morning, nothing but dead thrips laying around on leaves everywhere, F**K yes, and they look kinda shrunk up, like the spinosad sucked the life out of them same as they were doing to my plants, a fitting fate for them I say.

Before the Monterey GI spray I was going to get "safer yard and garden spray" and I asked the guy at the shop if he thought there was anything better for thrips.
Guy ends up talking me into getting a jug of "Sucra-shield" so I take that home and try it and Sucra-Shield Sucra-sucked, and didn't do Sucra-shit for the thrips, if anything they looked happier and more of them the next day.

I checked around for spinosad products in my country and it sure is available. Laser insecticide. But I'm a little worried. Within all those search results there were numerous hits with news of bee slaughter. I remember when this happened. They found out that 12% of bees dies from spinosad. Main cause of bee dying out was insecticide Fipronil. Laser product also reads: Danger to bees and water insects.

I wonder how safe this product really is.

This whole thread revolves around spinosad. Anything other that will kill thrips or at least keep them under control?

read the label and follow the disposal directions,uv light destroys it within 16 hours,as long as you're careful it should be fine.

Appreciate the advice here. Found some thrips and came here immediately. Found the info on the Spinosad. Bought it and sprayed it.

I could not find the Monterey Garden that people have used here, instead I used one by Green Light. I'll edit this post in a few days and let you know how it worked.

I don't like spraying anything in flower...I let the girls that had thrips in the flower room just do their thing while I treated the veg.

The thrip infested plants will finish fine and wont compramise the final product...other than yield.
^^^Yummy... cured thrips!^^^

Been smokin 'em for a while now myself. LOL

Great thread... I'm off to get some Spinosad.. :Bolt:
