This Is How You End Salt Buildup In Your Medium Forever!!!

Yes GDK, its the same but works better.....we also did several test and side by side comparisons with drip clean and saw no difference what so ever in the test plants. Also, to end salt buildup try using a better formula. There are other brands out there that use different source materials and do not leave this "salt" build up.....GH 3 part, and House And Garden Aqua Flakes seems to be some of the WORST we ever tried as far as salt buildup goes and practically destroyed the plant modules as this stuff was impossible to scrub off! This was even after cutting dosages down by as much as 50%. When we started testing other brands this salt build up quickly became one of the testing parameters that we would look for. There are some very clean formula's out there.

The one part maxibloom everyone likes so much tested very well in this department and left a very small residue behind....

IMO Drip Clean is another useless product that is not needed. It will "lower" the amount of buildup at best.....save your money!

As the good Dr has stated as well as others, the best method for ending salt build up is to stop over feeding and use better nutrients.......

Peace!

Thanks for the response TBM. How does it work better then? Do you mean that with a "bad formula" AtaClean worked better than the DripClean? Ill be using Canna nutes for coco..how did those test for ya? From what i gather they seem to be the best. Forgive me but english is not my first language, and i have a little trouble understanding what you mean. Are you concluding that both products does not work, or are you concluding that AtaClean is the better buy of the two, and that it actually do keep the coco free from salt buildup?

Stay Safe

when use say 0.5ml per gallon, do use mean U.S gallon or U.K gallon?

0.5 ml to 1 gallon (use recommend)

I US gallon=3.7litres
My 700litre water butt is 189 US Gallon.
So 189x0.5ml=94.5ml of drip clean

1 UK imperial gallon=4.5litres
My 700litre water butt is 155 Uk Gallon
so 155x0.5ml=77.5ml of drip clean

Back of the dripclean bottle says 10ml per 100Litres. Is this the same dose use guys recommend. So for my 700Litre but i use 70ml of drip clean.

Reason im asking is because i still get build up, what does it say on the back of your drip clean bottles?

took some time to read the thread great info i got a couple of ?

since drip clean suppose to leach out salts that are built up in the mediums would it render the salts useless if you mixed it with your nute solution that you feed to the plants? Also i haven't seen anyone ask this question, but would it be safe to use drip clean with grow chunks?what the ph level for drip clean as it in the bottle?

thanks for your guys time and research btw

Been using it every since i changed to autopots. Only bought a new 1/2 litre bottle yesterday at the local hydroshop. Didnt actually know about the flushing thing. I use it to keep my feedlines clean which it does very well.

same as you, im in canada and my bottles say the same and my feed chart is in metric liters, 0.1ml/liter, so 700L=70 ml drip clean

Props to krunch for this thread, thanks for keeping it in your sig bro...

Anyhow on a hunch i picked up some drip clean as I smoke week and haven't been paying attention to the difference between 1 gallon and 5 gallons :)

Well long story short I found out my runoff was 2500ppms in some plants!!!

After several gallons of drip cleaned water i was able to get my runoff to the 700ppm range. I'm going to pay more attention to my nutes from now on, especially since my medium is prone to holding salts (perlite)

:thank you:

i think i'm going to go get some Drip Clean in the future....

There are just too many positive reviews in here that reveal it does definitely work very well.... while it may be over priced for the inexpensive materials they use to manufacture this formula, It clearly ends salt buildup and reduces the need to flush. That "safe guard" is worth the 30 box

my only concern is using this stuff with Beneficial Products like Myco Madness and whether it will harm or hinder their business of pre-chewing nutrients and guarding my roots...... ???

Those considering Drip Clean should read this thread:
https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=227818

Avenger figured it out four months ago (see page 7, post#93 in the
House & Garden Nutrients thread above); Drip Clean is just a diluted copy of PeKacid. What is PeKacid? This pfd file explains:

http://customhydronutrients.com/zencart/download/pekacid_brochure.pdf
http://customhydronutrients.com/zencart/download/PEKACID pdf.pdf

After seeing this info, I'd say that if you find Drip Clean dramatically improves your grow, then you likely have been overfeeding your plants. Just lower your EC and you won't need Drip Clean. Sorry to contradict you, Krunch, but I have to side with YosemiteSam. Drip Clean will help most people simply because most people overfeed. It is no miracle remedy for salt buildup.

there are chemical tricks that can achieve this, no doubt about it - it clearly works....

but.... is the product necessary? thats another question all together... i was considering buying it because of the reports in here, but now I'm remembering that i have NEVER had harsh herb from my nutrient management...

why change what works?

Does the .4 ml per gal dose of drip clean put the phosphorous ppms above 50? Trying to see if mykos will live with h and g or not.

I am a little pissed that I just found this thread. I started using Drip Clean last grow cause a friend recommended it to me. I tell everyone to use it now. I am pretty sure it has helped increase my yield and has defiantly made life easier.

i know this stuff REALLY works, but i'm still very apprehensive about mixing it in a rez with AN's pH perfect Sensi Bloom A&B....

Any thoughts??

Anyone use those products together?

I gotta try this stuff out. I'm only on my 2nd grow and my first grow 2 plants(25%) experienced some kind of lockout. Obviously because I am new I haven't dialed in the feeding so this stuff seems like it can help my margin of error.

Cheers!
