This and that

I give away 1/2 or more of everything I make. Sometimes we freeze what we really like and have it at a later time.

I have had some very successful grows this year. I only grow for myself now so I really don't need more meds. But, It's hard to stop growing when I enjoy it so much.

What I froze this fall I made into bubble hash. I think it was around 66 grams total.

I need to try my bubble hash still. Made it from old harvest from 2022 this fall, so it won't be as good as yours from fresh frozen plants! I dried it too much initially too, so the terpenes were mostly gone. I bet its still good though. Is fresh hash plant hash the best vs using dried flower/trim?.

I would imagine it is because the trichomes don't get re wetted and it preserves terpenes.

How do you cure hash?

I'm relatively new to making bubble hash. I have some made from dried and cured bud. The yield was a bit better from that. But, the smell, taste and high I believe were far better with fresh frozen bud. I removed as much water as I could by twisting the drying screen. Then I balled up the batches and they just air dry on a cabinet. If I cut into one it is still a dark golden color inside and has the texture of Black Afghani hash.

Am with you there 👍🏼
Love the nurturing and accompanying them in their development.

And the curiosity to always try new strains...
Sometimes my girlfriend thinks I love my plants more than her. Because I spend so much time caring for them and my soil. I think it's because I was a single dad and my son is grown up now and moved out. So my plants replaced him.

My ex-wife had that same feeling. I just love watching cannabis grow. Its a challenge to try to keep them taken care of. Its fun to watch them respond and grow better with a little help. Would love to have some ornamental hemp or medical cannabis in my landscape like Brass n Woods Picket fences garden.

Don't let her feel bad just because you want to enjoy a hobby. Having a hobby is a good thing. Better than sitting around doing nothing. Its an opportunity to learn and live the life you are called to enjoy. Nothing wrong with that. Try to include her as much as possible. Don't let her feel like that though, because it could cause a divide in your relationship. Make every effort to show her she's a priority. :smoke:

Ex actually wanted me to quit growing and smoking, never did either, just had to hide it. Thats not a great way to run a family, but it was her choice after we were married. She was concerned about exposing the kids to it when much of her family uses cannabis. Some people just are so anxious about everything. Tell her to relax. Show her some good pictures which really capture the beauty of the crop, maybe she will enjoy. :smoke:

In my experience, telling a woman to relax comes with the threat of a black eye or a foot in the behind.

My girlfriend excepts me growing and using cannabis as my choice of pain medication. We also garden together outdoors. We have large flower beds and vegetable gardens. No worries here. This woman has outlasted both of my previous marriages. I think she just likes to complain at times. But, we all do sometimes.

Thats good, sharing common interests is important. Keep an open line of communication, complaining isn't bad because its better to complain than say nothing and let it build up until an explosion of emotion later on. Tell the truth, it will set you free. :smoke:

I'm beginning to realize that with the 2 hernias I have I won't be working with my plants like I usually do. Surgery isn't until February. My 4x4 looks wild. But, I cleaned up the bottoms and removed a lot of inside branches. It's still a forest in there. I'll post a picture in a few days after they have a chance to recover.
