If hes using tap water hes getting plenty of calcium and magnesium. I would also avoid doing any boron suppliments, wasnt that sproutcos mode de morte?
Yeah, but also sulfur and stump remover :D

Anyways, I've been seeing a little of this in my garden as well, but the "problems" were so minor that I never really paid much attention to it. I looked for bugs, but couldn't find any, and thought maybe it was an isolated incident of one bug that snuck in somehow.

But it seems some of my plants are showing other signs of calcium deficiency, so it makes sense that I need more calcium. Although I haven't paid much attention to the "holes", I have noticed that other calcium def. symptoms have seemed to go away after upping the Cal-Mag+, although I'm not 100% convinced yet.

By the way, I'm running Canna Coco A+B with low-TDS tap water (~40ppm @ .5).

Here is another pic

On the top where I have pinched a couple of times it looks almost as if its flowering (they are about 6 weeks old from seed) or could it be the pests?
What do you think?

OK that pic isnt bug damage. Pinched a couple times? Do you mean supercropping? That plant looks very abused.

You are the pest LOL! Just joking, she'll pull through...
Treat her better poor thing, flush her with ph balanced clean water for a few days, then start up on a half strength grow solution to see what happens, she needs to veg out better before flowering, that would be my guess..

I was thinking maybe a preventive just in case its bugs and spray with Safer Caterpilar killer... Ya think that would be beneficial? And I only really just gently pinched the middle i didnt mess with surrounding leaves something or than me did that

The first thing I would do is evaluate your root system, are they white, are they yellow or brown, what is your water temps. By the picture it looks like you have a combination of problems , the holes are probably from ants ,bugs ect.the defenciency is hard to determine untill you find out what your roots look like, if they are starting to rot then you you will have a nute lock out no matter what the ph is or tds or the types of nutes you use. if thats the case start to flush with a mild nute solution, stop adding any other types on nutes, your only going to make it worse. you can also add hydozyme to you mild solution after you change and clean your rez.give it some time they will come back. thats just my opinion.

Yeah believe it or not my roots are white and nice as hell... thats the crazy thing with all this... Plan of action now is a No-Bug Strip and also just got some einstien oil... i hope between them two things i will get what ever it is ****ing with my meds... I also think alot of defiency i was told is actually to little of feeding solution... before my ppms were just under 300 now i bumped them up to just under 600... will have updates in a few days...

Not true.

At least when I prove you wrong I can back it with facts instead of poor advice that kills peoples plants.

.. Hard water is water that has a high mineral content (water with a low mineral content is known as soft water). This content usually consists of high levels of metal ions, mainly calcium (Ca) and magnesium (Mg) in the form of carbonates ...

Soft: 0 - 20 mg/L as calcium
Moderately soft: 20 - 40 mg/L as calcium
Slightly hard: 40 - 60 mg/L as calcium
Moderately hard: 60 - 80 mg/L as calcium
Hard: 80 - 120 mg/L as calcium
Very Hard >120 mg/L as calcium

According to the United States Geological Survey, 85% of US homes have hard water.

Yoda,
Your plant pictures look very similar to a grow I had about 5 months ago. I thought it was a Ca def, then one day i saw what appeared to be a white spec, literally the size of a pin tip (not head) move, I never saw very many. Having never had any pest problem before I was dumb founded as to how fast this wiped my plants out. in days they were horribly mutated, and discolored. I treated with pyrethiums and eventually malithion, then back to pyrethiums religiously every couple of days.
Long story short, out of 4 clones one barely pulled through which I took clones from and had to trash mother, she never got vigourous again. Still to this day, the closest I can come up with is whitefly, but this was much smaller and no flying (that I could see). Clones eventually returned to normal, and now flowering so there is hope.

Good Luck, I don't wish that upon anyone.
