Hi ya all... I have a nft setup and two waterfarm buckets with plants started from seedlings... right now all they get is ionic grow and tap water.. They were doing great... They are in a well ventilated air conditioned room at 72-74 degrees... they are under a 400watt mh 18/6 Here are some pics... Im not thinking spider mites or anyting as I dont see none though I dont have a microscpe to look either... any thoughts?

This is a nutrition problem. Are you adjusting the ph of the fert water? Ionic grow is low in calcium and magnesium. You might need to suppliment these.

No I havent been adjusting the PH as I thought Ionic Grow had its own PH buffers? I also have Mineral Matrix by bio-genisis.... would that be ok to add to the nute program? Also should I be adjusting the PH even though supposedly Ionic grow does that on its own?

I checked the PH in the res and it was 6.1 aprox. which is good PH i thought, so what else could be going on?

If 2.4-.4-3.3 is your fert

If 2.4-.4-3.3 is your fert

Ionic Grow
Concentrate %W/V diluted 10ml/litre PPM W/S
Nitrate-Nitrogen 2.4 239
Ammonium-Nitrogen 0.2 22
Total Nitrogen 2.6 261
Phosphorus 0.4 40
Potassium 3.302 330
Calcium 1.3 130
Magnesium 0.32 32
Sulphate 0.40 40
Iron 0.039 3.9
Manganese 0.011 1.1
Boron 0.003 0.26
Zinc 0.003 0.26
Copper 0.0013 0.13
Molybdenum 0.00065 0.065
Cobalt 0.00065 0.065
Nickel 0.00065 0.065
EC at 1:100 2.2mS/cm2
TDS at 1:100 1992mg/litre TDS
% NH4-N 8.5% of total N
pH 5.8 to 6.3
K:N 1.4

If you used 5ml per liter/19 ml per gallon (1/2 strength), you would need to add more calcium and magnesium. Add 5 ml cal mag plus to this or 1/8 teaspoon powdered gypsum and epsom salts or 1/8 teaspoon epsom salts and calcium nitrate. For a calcium source with epsom salts youi could use calcium chloride but this requires net weight and total ml of the bottle to give you a rate of about 35-40 ppm ca.

Also boron at .13 would be too little. For boron, put 1/2 teaspoon sodium borate/borax from the grocery store. (Makes 388 gallons .17 ppm B.) Put this in a jug of 3.8 liters/1 gallon. Then to boost 1 gallon of fert water, add 2 teaspoons of this boron water.

Got it! You need more calcium. I bet the hardwater formula has very little calcium. I will try to find the ppms for your fert.

Sounds like your water is not that hard...

Ionic Grow - Hard Water Concentrate %W/V diluted 10ml/litre PPM W/S
Nitrate-Nitrogen 1.84 184
Ammonium-Nitrogen 0.03 3
Total Nitrogen 2.0 187
Phosphorus 0.31 31
Potassium 2.40 240
Calcium 0.50 50
Magnesium 0.36 36
Sulphur 0.10 10
Iron 0.03 3.0
Manganese 0.01 0.9
Boron 0.003 0.3
Zinc 0.003 0.3
Copper 0.002 0.2
Molybdenum 0.0010 0.01
Cobalt 0.0005 0.05
Nickel 0.0005 0.05
EC at 1:100 1.9mS/cm2
TDS at 1:100 1593mg/litre TDS
% NH4-N 3.8% of total N
pH 5.8 to 6.3
K:N 1.28

If you used 5ml per liter/20 ml per gallon (1/2 strength), you would need to add more calcium. Add 5 ml cal mag plus to this or 1/8 teaspoon powdered gypsum or 1/8 teaspoon calcium nitrate per 1 gallon. For a calcium source when using epsom salts youi could use calcium chloride but this requires net weight and total ml of the bottle to give you a rate of about 35-40 ppm ca. Calcium chloride might be sold in bottles under names like tomato blossom end rot stopper. Easily disolvable gypsum you can get at brew your own beer stores. :)

If you experience magnesium deficiency, add 1/8 teaspoon per gallon epsom salts.

Also boron at .15 would be too little. For boron, put 1/2 teaspoon sodium borate/borax from the grocery store. (Makes 388 gallons .15 ppm B.) Put this in a jug of 3.8 liters/1 gallon. Then to boost 1 gallon of fert water, add 2 teaspoons of this boron water. Boron will increase calcium flow into the plant.

Last problem is low molybdenum. Fix the other problems first.

If hes using tap water hes getting plenty of calcium and magnesium. I would also avoid doing any boron suppliments, wasnt that sproutcos mode de morte?

Allrighty Guys and Gals,
I'm not sure now what to do... I hear so many things from different people... I saw a site http://www.marijuanagrowing.eu/cannabis14033.html that has a feeding schedule for Ionics... Im thinking of adding to my regime the NitroZyme, FossilFuel, and the GreenFuse Grow... Do you guys think that will give the plants all the proper nutes they will need? Also, should I only use 1/2 strength all the time?

get your tap water tested .very soft water has no calcium or magnesium.or at least check ec of tap water.if it reads o then theres no nutrient value
for veg you need 200ppm calcium and idealy 600/900 mag.I only know test lab address uk (beverly labs tickton west draycott,uk

Stop adding various things they cost money and when it goes wrong you dont know why.
ive made my own hydro feed for years for both soft and hard water never had a nutrition problem.

Well, I spent the money... Got GreenFuse Grow and added it to res half strength and also got Nitrozyme at half strength in the res.... Now I will order FosilFUel and hope for the best.....

Will these supplementation take care of all that? This is the new regimine... Ionics Grow 1/2strength, Nitrozyme 1/2strength, Greenfuse Grow 1/2, Fossil Fuel 1/2, and Barricade by AN(no flames I dont like AN myself but it was good price silicon).....I also have an airstone in res.... I really hope the plants will like this... and start to get green and strong...
Yodabuds
ps I also was thinking though I cant find it or one if caterpillars got my leaves and not a nute problem? anyways.. whatcha think bout the nutes... Do the plants now have everything they need?

The only time my plants looked like that indoors it was due to:

shopvac bite LOL

Calcium deficiency (edit and taking another look, the other leaves show multiple deficiencies possibly, change the nute mix, usually bad nutes)

or also

Shitty genetics/mutation
