The Wussification of Boys

I have appreciated some of your posts in other threads, but any one who freely posts about the merits of beating children has just earned a spot on my shit list. You're an asshole.

Funny I was actually talking with a friend of mine yesterday. She was telling me how she had gone to the mall to buy her man some clothes. While in the store she noticed a lot of shirts with glitter on them, thinking maybe she was on the wrong side of the store, or maybe the girls section had just gotten bigger, she asked the store clerk. He rolls his eyes, chuckles a bit, and says, nope those are men's clothes. WTF is wrong with this country? Would have gotten your ass kicked when I was a kid for wearing something like that, even as a joke.

There's a difference between "beating a child" and "conditioning a child".

Animal behavior, including humans, is largely based on the "pain and pleasure" principle. This means we are more likely to repeat behaviors that please us, and LESS likely to repeat behaviors that don't please us, or cause us pain.

So what do you do when a child enjoys a behavior far more than any non-painful "punishment" you've meted out to prevent it?

Human beings have known why they shouldn't "spare the rod" with kids for millenia, and Ivan Pavlov and B.F. Skinner PROVED why over a hundred years ago. You can make an argument about HOW to use pain as a punisher for behavior modification, but you CAN'T argue that using pain isn't a viable option.

If you don't think pain can be used to modify behavior, stick your hand in boiling water and let me know if you're willing to do it again any time soon.

May your harvest be bountiful regardless.

Do you know what? I have spoken with people of all generations. (so fucking many...)
This new generation Has some things to learn from the older generation, lots, but regrettably, the older generations usually fail in learning from the new generations.

Who always bring something new and better to the table.

History has worked like this, one man gives something new to the world, a world changer, a maker for the better.

He/she is laughed at, ridiculed. But some of the younger generations listen. 50 years pass and as set in their ways people die off, this idea, this gamechanger is increasingly considered solid wisdom and everybody thinks the old people were stupid for not listening.

Hehe, frankly, this new generation is the best this world has to offer.
The reason why we have been so slow in legalizing cannabis?
We are waiting for all the hardasses and badasses to die off.

Society is kinda fucked for now, but it is not the young people´s fault.

It is entirely the older generations fault. (of which im part of.)

The hard asses, the badasses, they got us here and have no idea how to fix it.

The younger people often do.

The reason why its taking so long is because the hardasses the badasses and the bitches are fighting change.

As always...

Fucking monkeys... (us.)

The reason why the hard asses are being weeded out.

Is because there is increasingly less need for them.

War is on the way out.

I think for the most part things have changed. I grew up on a small fishing island in the Atlantic. All the men i looked up to were monsters and mountains of men. My grand father used to work like a dog, i mean pull herring seines with bare hands no roller no hydraulics lol. Row 6 or 7 miles in a 12 ft dingy with a 300-500lbs rock in it. You had to be able to lift the rock out of the boat when they where building the breakwater, so it couldnt be too heavy. Lots of hunting and fishing. I recall doing hard labor and having my grandfather right beside me, when i couldnt go anymore he would look at me and say come on now, there is no give up! Life has changed for lotsa folks.
It seems technology has made it so we do not have to work as hard, so we do not have the novel experiences of pain and gain to push ourselves through the hard bits mentally that make you a man{not giving up. sticking through till the end etc} We are constantly evolving so be it......

Let's base the whole system of education on a single principle, the "pain vs. pleasure"

Shit

I think I can see where it's coming from though. I am still amazed when I learn that some of my peers from early school days have turned out

Just fine

Historically, evolutionary , women pick the men they think are best suited for giving them kids that survive.

They pick the best males.

Macho assholes are on the way out.

We need less and less protection.

I have a 4yr(well turning 4 in 7 days) old son. We live on a rural homestead, he pretends to shoot deer, wrestles with his dog, and goes around shooting imaginary zombies (or Dad pretending to be one).

We started wresting AND fighting "practice" over a year ago and he loves it. FYI Wrestling = no punching. Fighting means closed fists full contact (him hitting me off course)... He is a well adjusted kid, who is VERY well behaved. I think it is a healthy way to work off some steam and since he is much larger than most almost 4yr olds it is good exercise for me.

My wife has Sheeple friends who are in absolute HORROR over our sparing sessions. They are always worried about my Son clocking some kid who is "innocently" picking on him when he starts kindergarden. My son also is taught to not HIT FIRST....but sure as hell HIT BACK. The sheeple friend's kids are not well behaved with no respect for their parents or other kids.

But YUP...I'm the one screwing up my Kid's life...

Stupid SHEEPLE

Rant over.

This generation is the most violent in human history... the influence of Video Game Violence has created a movement in which kids can kill without emotion and are rewarded with gratification for killing... Look at all top selling video games..

Then these kids have mental break downs and act out what they see behind the magic screen.. all the crazy school shootings and acts of that nature...

The less educated each generation gets the ability to establish control over the masses increases....

propaganda controls everything... before electronics.. you were forced to read a book and learn something... that trend of reading/learning will never lose its ability to advance your mind to the next level ....

Money/Sex/Social Status is all you learn in todays world.... its the perfect recipe for turning into a tool that can be controlled..

MATH SCIENCE CONFIDENCE This what society should be pushing on its youth... but if they did that...it would be a rapid movement towards evolution and everything the shady establishment worked so hard to create.. would crumble into pieces

Sorry storm but that's the exact opposite of the truth. Video games (aka the advancements in technology) have greatly reduced crime and violence across the board among male demographics.

Prescription drugs and environment play the biggest role. 9 out of 10 shooters are on lobotomizing psychotropics. From kids stabbing their parents in their sleep to kids bringing in a backpack full of ammo and knives to school because a voice in their head told them to; they're all having breakdowns from taking something.

I think that you dont know very many people of that new generation.

I think that you do not know very much about these videogames at all.

I think that you watch too much tv and read too many news.

And if none of that is true, then i think you might be badly placed geographically. (and should move.)

Also i think you overestimate the shady establishment.

http://www.christopherjferguson.com/Clinically Elevated.pdf

Our results suggest that the association between violent
600 video games and aggression related outcomes in children,
601 even those with clinically elevated mental health symp-
602 toms, may be minimal. Our research contributes to the field
603 of youth and media by providing evidence that a timely,
604 policy-relevant, and seemingly reasonable hypothesis—
605 that mentally vulnerable children may be particularly
606 influenced by violent video games—does not appear to be
607 well supported. However, more research on this popula-
608 tion, and on others likely to be at increased risk (such as
609 children exposed to violence in their homes or neighbor-
610 hoods), is needed to guide parents, health professionals and
611 policymakers. It may be valuable for future researchers to
612 consider alternate models of youth’s media use, particu-
613 larly those that focus on motivational models in which
614 users, rather than content, drive experiences. Content-based
615 theoretical models do not appear to be sufficient for a
616 sophisticated understanding of media

How many studies do think the Multi-BILLION dollar video game industry supports?

Not like the American Cannabis Studies huh :)

These video games haven't been out long enough to understand the damage its doing...and just because its not reported on MSM news doesn't mean its not going on...

Are any of you from the Inner City? If so .. you'd understand this better... talking about being connected to the youth lol Who do you think moves all of our weight

So, you think that this wussy pussy generation is going to become hardened maniac murderers because of video games?

Interesting.

Most people who play video games do not want to see real life what they do in videogames.

Its like a rollercoaster.

How many people want to ride one without safety harnesses?

About as many as want to kill after seeing videogames.
