Old runn from a ways back>>Just want to get these pics off my comp !!!
"The White" hybrids, both DG's and Reservoir's "White Diesel" are one-shot releases.
Neither Reservoir or DG Seeds will be using The White again.
Why?
"The White" has been judged by a group of us that have it,after many runs,to be a really nice White Widow.
By itself,it needs improvement,in the opinion of everyone I know that's grown or smoked it.
It's been a really nice target for Improvement Through Hybridization,(ITH) but as a standalone...we're done with it.
By adding Sour Diesel (or) G13 to "The White",it was clear that DG Seeds and Reservoir have improved it from two different directions, and perspectives.
Reservoir leaned towards improving The White by breeding in Reservoir's touch-of-sativa Sour Diesel genes, and DG Seeds leaned towards improving it by infusing The White with the piney, fat-cola'd G13.
Imo either way is a win-win,depending on what your Target High is,and The White is a good solid,White Widow baseline to work from.
What it 'actually' is.....that seems to be the mystery question. Krome would be the best one to answer that....not I, as I did not create the cut. My reason for using it was to infuse resin production traits carried by The White with the heavy hitting punch of G13.
Due to the fact that I found The White to be somewhat lacking in flavor, I let my C99 male have a go at her in an attempt to add some fruitiness....I like things that taste good! 'Glass Slipper' (The White x C99) will soon be available as well.
I have my own 'opinion' as to what makes up The White now that I've had a chance to work with it...but being able to state exact lineage from a cut is simply not...well....simple. I've grown a lot of White Widow in the dam in the past, enough to know that there can be varying pheno's...let's just say I'd not be surprised if it was some form of kush-ish ww. Maybe I'm right...maybe not.
DG:Reservoir has used the cut , and I used the cut in a couple of my projects. Between both of us, I am most confident that our experience and knowledge of a multitude of different varieties (which spans roughly 35 yrs individually) renders a more professional opinion rather than one which is based on canna urban legend.
The White is the closest I've seen to Ingemar's ww, although not a 100% representation of his ww, there are distinctive traits observed. Having been inside Ingemar's garden in Holland gave the opportunity for me to see things more clearly regarding ww.
I just don't know exactly what the white is. And that's fine with me.
