i used bho oil in the volcano on those little mesh inserts they give you, the one that looks like wire mesh scrubber. it wasn't the best made oil so the chlorophyll taste was bad, but if it was better quality oil it would of been real good.

works out well, just dont put a lot in at one time. also your bag will get goopy faster, so keep an eye on it for when to change it out.

i put some bho-like QWISO in the volcano but I just sandwiched a drop in between two grinders full of buds.

seemed to work well enough

didnt want to use the screen thing because i only had 1

We got a digi one that's been gathering dust for over a year, could'nt really stand the crinkling of the bag all the time, might get it fired up again after reading so many positive comments but prefer the convenience of a bong.

wow. that is crazy. i can't even put water in my bong after the clean crispiness of the volcano

i was going to sell my glass peice but then I thought twice. what if something breaks on the volcano?

Now that you are a dyed-in-the-wool Vapist, you're going to be wanting a portable vape... like an Iolite or a LaunchBox. That'll be your backup. Your bong will likely become a collector's item for you, only to be brought out on special occasions. Just like mine.

The crinkling of the bag is probably worst thing about the volcano. I think I can live with that, though.

When I bought my Volcano, a month or so back, the idea was to give up combustion all together. It hasn't quite worked like that. I've stopped the bong, but I can't stop smoking joints.

Even when I've got the volcano warmed up and it's cold outside, I'd say 50% of the time I'll still choose to roll a joint. I don't know what it is about going outside and smoking a joint. Not even sure whether it's the joint or the outside that's the bit I like. Maybe I should try doing the vape outside....

whole reason i got the vape was to get away from breakables (glass) but that thing looks like it would send a crew into outer space. i want one!

those pics were from an eBay auction I think, quite awhile ago so I don't know the name of the item, the pure simplicity of it would allow you you to send these pics to a cool glass blower and design a sweet custom piece for yourself.......

I just got a volcano yesterday. I notice there still vapor after like 8 bags. How many bags is the right number of bags per amount of weed? (IE) after how many bags it stops getting you high or looses the quality of the THC?

It depends on the size of your bag. Sometimes we run a 2 meter (6ft) bag which is good for one burn with 1/2 a gram of cannabis.

I have a lot of input! I have owned a Classic Volcano for 3 years and it is great. When I see everyone talking about 5-6 range I worry though. Mine never goes below 7.5 and is usually on 8. I still get 4-5 bags. The first and last bag are a little weak but still count! I usually fill the chamber at least 3/4 of the way. I have never cleaned it with iso. I usually clean the chamber really well with my finger and a brush and replace bags every few months. The metal piece CAN get stuck in the chamber if you haven't heated it up in a while and vape the sticky icky...I suggest putting the used chamber on top of the volc and running it for 30 secs to heat it up and loosen the bond. It works for me. The heat also helps when cleaning the metal side of the chamber with a plastic card. This is the extent of the cleaning I do but maybe I will replace the screens or iso clean it soon to give it the brand new look and taste. I have also left it on overnight and for extended periods of time with no problems...very industrial! I saw a video of someone using the entire bag (I think its around 10 feet tall) with 2 chambers and I have been tempted to do it ever since! I just need to get another filling chamber. :)

I also own a Magic Flight Launch Box and a Vriptech Vripmaster to be used with glass tubes and bubbers. I only use kief with the launch box and don't know a better way to smoke/vape kief....It's truly amazing and bubbles nicely. :dance013: This seems to be the best tasting most pure hit I can find (and it's fun to watch the keif go from powder to liquid and bubbling). You have to be careful not to dm IDK how many hits you guys get off of a battery but I get a bunch (like 15-20).

The Vriptech gets used but takes like 15 mins to heat up to ideal temp (which is just a couple clicks from max). It isn't great to leave it on for extended periods of time in its glass stand, as its a vertical stand and all the electrical is above the heating element...It can get HOT! Plus the stand doesn't have a large base and tips over really easily (I'm looking into having a custom one made on a 45 degree angle). The Vriptech is glass and I always worry I will break it. Other than that it delivers amazing vapor. There is def a learning curve when using it. You don't inhale super hard and quickly, its all about the slow steady inhale. I really like it and it is a unique vape because I can use my glass with it and get water diffusion. :bongsmi:

A friend let me borrow the Iolite for a week and it is a good vape but the hits can get super hot. That was my main issue with it. After a lot of use the hits come into your mouth with noticeable heat and I def didn't like that. The hissing noise it make while heating isn't my favorite noise either. It can also get stuck when not warmed up. Other than those few issues, it's great but it could never be my daily driver.

I have been looking into the Super Vapezilla but I'm having trouble dropping the bills on another 550-600 dollar vape. I think it won the High Times Cannabis cup from 2004-06 for best vape...But I know the CC winners are usually whoever is the biggest sponsor! lol I have just heard that the whip style vape is nice for a strong vapor and for taste.

I hope you guys don't mind my input! I hope it save people some money. I did lots of research on all of the vapes I own to make sure they were solid before I bought them. If you have yet to vape keif out of a Launch Box please do and let me know how you like it! The Volcano is my daily driver since it is easy to use and can take the beating. It is nice to pass a bag around to friends...If the bag gets dropped it won't break...And if it does, its easily replaceable. I can't say the same thing about the vriptech that is glass, corded, and more difficult to use.

I thought about selling my classic to a friend and getting the digital but I'm afraid of something (like the screen) breaking. The classic has an extra year on its warranty for a reason, I'm sure. I just really like the auto shut-off feature after 30 mins and being able to see the actual temps not just a number on a dial. After a lot of thought I decided to stick with the classic as it does the job...and EXTREMELY well. :D

EDIT: Has anyone heard of the VapeXhale Cloud? I don't think its out yet.

I have been keeping mine on 7 for flowers and full blast (9) for concentrates. I am absolutely in LOVE with oils on the liquid pad. If only I could afford to concentrate all my flowers. After the third bag it goes to the edibles jar. Sometimes that happens after the first bag if I want to make something more potent on the stove.

I wish I hadn't made 3 small sized bags and instead made one small and one large (4+ ft).

I was also very hesitant to dismantle the solid valve to clean it because I thought it would be tough to get it back together without losing something.

This thing cleans up so nice it looks brand new every time.

The amount of money I'm saving on ISO compared to bong cleaning is paying for the Volcano by itself.

My biggest tip to any owners of the solid valve is to CLEAN _away_ from the sink. Get a small bowl of 91% iso and a small bowl of water and do your cleaning on a table. You do not want to lose anything down the drain.

And if anything seems difficult to remove or put back together, you're probably doing it wrong. This device was put together so elegantly that it should all be fairly straightforward and simple.

Also, I tried to bring my old cleaning tools to use with the Volcano. Completely unnecessary. Comes with everything you need to keep clean, take apart, put back together... except ISO.

I forget to turn mine off ALL the time. I've only had it for a month, so I figure if I'm gonna be rough on it, it might as well be while under warranty

i'm also a volcano (classic) owner, and i LOVE it. been using it for ~3 yrs. this machine actually looks like it will last many years - not some stupid "planned obsolescense" construction. fuck capitalism.

i use it at 5-6 and pull about 3-4 bags from an amount that barely covers the screen. (more is total waste IMHO) i have gone to 6-8 bags from the same amount, but only if my supply is running low.
i absolutely LOVE the taste of the first bag... pure heaven...

The crinkling of the bag is probably worst thing about the volcano. I think I can live with that, though.

i agree, the crinkling is a bit annoying, but necessary since you need to put a lot of plasticizer into your plastic if you want it smooth and rubbery. unfortunately these are also quite toxic and gas out over time.
so - i much pefer the crinkling with less chemicals ;)

also - i usually write something witty on each new bag with a black marker, to mix things up a bit - like "Philias Fogg" or "The Fog of Peace" or "Colonel Blimp" :D

Used to love my Volcano but for some reason I never use it anymore. Always rolling J's.

This thread has inspired me to dust it off and warm her up again. Well played :)

How often do you guys change the bag out of interest?

I don't own a Volcano but I did find this sort of interesting.......

I think I want one of those
