The Virus strikes!

The bill does give the gov some scary powers that no one in a democracy should be comfortable with.
Will be a surreal situation soon with the party who sold everything we owned having to buy into industries to keep them afloat.

Let’s hope we don’t get “ civil unrest” cos that spreads quicker then Covid19 and don’t fancy the Army on the streets,,,,s2:tiphat:

It looks as if we are heading the same way as Italy and Spain.

Dark times ahead. Feel sorry for all the NHS workers that will be traumatized by what they see over the next few months.

Crazy times indeed...

On one hand the authorities absolutely do need special powers to deal with a situation like this, on the other hand the very same bastards are not exactly well known to willingly hand over any kind power at any time! This is a time for reason and cooperation, not power hunger and "me first".
I hope for the best that these powers will be returned/given up asap!!! But you're right, maybe they won't...think Germany in the 1930s... you only see it coming once it has happened. But maybe that's too dark and it will sort itself out in accordance with the law.

They are now saying Germany is roughly 10 days behind Italy and the UK is roughly 10 days behind Germany in the pandemic unfolding.

As some of you know I'm not British but live in the Northwest, until a month ago that is.

Now I'm stranded far far away and can't get back because of the travel restrictions. And my grow is on autopilot with a 60l reservoir and most plants should be ready by end of this week! It looks like it's at least another month, maybe more before we'll see any travel again. Mate has a key, but no idea what to do, so will try to remote harvest, dry and cure this round.
That's the fun bit, the serious bit is that half my family was tested positive now. Some of them in their 70s. Started with one of them coming home from Italy...
The best of luck to my homies in the UK, stay safe and healthy you all, crossing my fingers for everyone affected, including myself.

good luck Chevy

this is disturbing, like its Rabbies

The most frightening part. Only one medical 'officer' is required to sign off COMPULSORY TREATMENT ORDER which means... in the real world you can be forced to accept medication. Or held down and injected with whatever is seen fit. THAT is the biggest and worst threat to your own freedoms. Schedule8 Pt1.

Oh shit,, bro how are they??,,let us known how they look,, what symptoms they have and if you believe this is doing repeat damage to the immune system,,please try to ask of its the L or S variety??

I am seriously starting to feel like this is airborn aids,,, mad thoughts I know but its been proven to bind like hiv just now,, what will we learn next about the immunology functions of covid-19, the L and S variety in coming weeks,, I believe this repeated attempts to compromise the immune system is freakishly like hiv from a laymen perspective

Birmingham international is now a morgue. The NEC nest door, a hospital. Derby has seen a newly formed RAF squadron touching down with helicopters, and an Atlas (a400) circled the East Midlands Airport approach and flew the length of the runway a few times. Where a lot of freight terminals have been built this last year, some refrigerated.

They seem like key details to me.
Scampton closes in 2022 and RAF Linton-on-Ouse closes this year. A fairly low value site, being north of Leeds.

Another correlation it shares with HIV is viral 'load' the more you are exposed to the virus initially is said to determine how badly you are affected.

Exposure from touching a contaminated surface and then your face/eyes/nose will be less than being in a house with 3 infected people sneezing. Or a hospital full of sick patients. This explains why so many doctors are getting ill and 800 police officers in Spain have lost their lives.

It feels very surreal waking up everyday checking the various death tolls hoping to see a downward curve.

Hey Rick,
What it looks like today, they've all made it. My aunt and cousin were really, really sick, my uncle got sick later and not so badly. Fingers crossed that that was it for them. I don't know if L or S, gee that's the first time I hear about this distinction, will need to read up on it.
All had a nasty dry cough and high fever. My cousin's husband told me to have as much bronchial tea in the house as possible and that seemed to help a lot with the symptoms and helping the lungs stay clean(er) as long as possible.
I'm releived as you can imagine, and also a weird thought now, to be able to say, ok I've made it, corona, been there done that, walking around not being afraid of coughing strangers or people in general any more... This feeling I think, in the wider population, that relief, will only be achieved when we have a vaccine...
Stay safe and healthy!

- The only thing cheery about it for an optimist like me - is that I'm in the London borough with the least reported cases -
