it should be the rangers up 2-1 in this series, but it isnt.
down 0-3 looks bleek and something like 92% of teams up 3-0 win.
but i like our 8% chance.
it's easy now, win or go home

Oh please. King Henrik has given up how many goals in the 3 games so far? 12? Not sure how you think NY could be up 2-1 with a 5 goal differential. Don't start crowning him King just yet. The Pens are a strong offense but I recall NY fans just a week or so ago crowing about how the Rangers won the season matchup and would beat the Pens. Playoffs are way different than regular season so all this lovey dovey over Lundquist is premature IMHO. Let the guy prove himself when it matters. Rangers fans irritate me. Havent won shit since 1994...only cup in 70 years. I dont mean to take it out on you frank but as a NJ fan the amount of abuse we take is absurd, especially considering recent history. I'd be tickled to see the Rangers get swept. 6-1 Pens, game 4.

Karma is a bitch aint it, Avery? The guy played nearly the entire game bleeding internally and in severe pain. I dont know if Id call that devotion to the team or just plain stupidity. He could have bled out and died right on the ice.

Woohoo, Wings and Pens both up 3-0.

Avery tenderized himself, eh? hehe I mean...er....that's too bad.

If and when the Rangers lose that series, it's in large part due to Jagr's shitty attitude. dude is not a captain or a leader, and more often than not is boohooing about something. Wasn't happy with the Pens...wasn't happy and downright sucked with the Caps.... and his interviews recently have showed an unhappy, non winning attitude having loser boy. Shoulda let Gomez wear the C.

Jaromir Jagr...please report to retirement!

I'm surprised to see the Sharks getting pushed around like that.

Colorado Avalache...wait for it...here comes the deathblow!!!

Well, if Avery is soooo bad, how come the call wasn't made on Shanahan for screenin Marc-Andre Fleury in the same manner as Avery did Brodeur. Seems the Pens felt it's part of the game when speaking to the media, not like Brodeur and the Devils. ALSO, the refs have been letting other players beat on Avery all playoffs due to his "antics", as some call them.

Besides, IMHO, the refs in EVERY series are lettin the players go too far. Hatcher's dirty hit on Boullion in Game 3 was just a dirty as the hit Claude Lemieux threw on the Detroit player when he was on the NJ Devils. THAT hit cost the Devils the service(s) of Lemieux for almost the remainder of the playoffs, where-as the hit by Hatcher was written off as being paid off by the Double Minor he received for the Boarding by most of the networks. IMHO, let them play, but not to the extent where guys careers can be on the line. ALSO, keep in mind Lemieux's hit was with the puck right there, Hatcher's, on the other hand, was COMPLETELY away from any play considering the puck was at the point at the time.

AND, Hollweig's hit cost the Rangers the game, they were right back in it in the third, until that happened. Sounds like, IGT, typical hatred for the Rangers from a Devil's fan. Mind you, I do agree that if he was in that kind of pain/situation he should not have remained in the game. BUT, it takes more than a legal check to burst a spleen, so where was the call??? Again, IMHO, if it wasn't a Rangers/Devils playoff series, it wouldn't have been made into NEARLY as big of a deal.

Id have the same reaction no matter what jersey the guy is wearing. Sure its a little sweeter given the recent developments but still. Risking your body during the playoffs is acceptable and expected. Risking your life is not. If he had croaked on the ice, how much grief would the league have caught over it?

I couldn't see the league receiving any more grief than if Richard Zednick had died due to the throat cut, it was Avery and the Ranger's coaching/medical staff's problem at that point and you couldn't KNOW that his spleen had burst. Shit, I thought I had a nerve cut from a slap shot hitting me in the shoulder once.

I believe they'd catch more grief for letting them play a bit too much and not calling the game a bit tighter. I do understand that the refs are told to let them play a bit more in the playoffs, but again, you have to CONTROL THE GOONS.....INCLUDING Avery. But again, Hatcher's hit on Boullion AND Hollwieg's hit in Game 3 ARE WHAT CAN END A GUY'S CAREER. IMHO, the hits from behind would not have happened IF the refs let the players KNOW who is in charge on the ice BEFORE it got to that point. Especially the trip on Price behind the goal line, he landed on the back of his head, if that wasn't INTENT to injure (5 min Major), I don't know what is...
